Iv just been informed that there is a readily available program which anybody can buy which can find out the password of a hotmail account !!!

Is this true, are all my dodgy emails from my mates under threat from invasion by the missus ?

You can find out someone's Hotmail password *very* easily using software built into most OS's, but only if you're on the same network segment.

Give me your wife's e-mail address and I'll tell her how to hack your password

I've heard of the one whereby you register with hotmail as say Admin12345@hotmail.com and then email the target stating that to continue their hotmail account they need to confirm useage to Hotmail by replying with their name and password, otherwise the account will be cancelled.

Of course in the real world you wouldn't get such an email from them.

I remember one site offering hotmail account hacks, when you went to it, it asked you to provide your hotmail sign in and password to get the software. Those that promptly did were hacked themselves, how stupid can you get!!!!

There are a few ways of doing it, most of which you will need to be an experienced hacker to execute . The easiest one that most people can do is to fake a request.

Make build a fake login screen using the code from the hotmail account and modify the u/n and p/w forms to be sent to an address of your choosing.

Send the form to the unsuspecting atating that they need to complete the form to continue with the sevice, or some crap like that. They'll fill in the details, hit send and you have the info you need.

It's simple, don't use hotmail. There are so many other alternatives I really don't know why people use it. I even have a hellokitty.com address

but unless your playing 'man in the middle' attacks, on the same domain, compromised a machine on the same domain (probably easiest way to go) or wanna really go for it and spoof their machine whilst DoSing them your gonna find it hard to sniff the traffic.

If its a simple case of finding out a spouses info, just install a keystroke logger.

question: does hotmail support MIME? I have never used it so not quite sure. There could be a possibility of using S/MIME.

*just wanna add, I don't approve of email hacking....its an invasion of privacy *
