Can any IIS guru tell me how i do the following

How do i un-map the HTR ISAPI Filter

How do i un-map the Internet Printing ISAPI extension

how do i un-map the Index Server ISAPI

It is a Windows 2k server running IIS 5

Easy...

Start > Programs > Admin Tools > Internet Services Manager

Find 'Default Web Site' in the tree on the left hand side of the screen

Right click > Properties

Home directory tab

Configuration button

You can see .printer, .htr etc and delete them as required.

Sorry, I should clarify my point above.

Right clicking Default Website does it on a per website basis.

If you want to remove .printer, .htr etc for ALL websites on that server:

Right click the server name in the tree > Properties

Then Click Edit - the combo box should default to WWW Service.

Then goes as before - Home directory tab etc

To kill HTTP Trace - yup.

Details here. You'll need to use URLScan (linked from that article) but prooceed with care when using it!
