Not if the people managing will only manage 4.1 at the moment (large installed base of Consoles/Logging servers etc.)

Nokia.com makes no mention of 330 being withdrawn. In fact the main nokia/fw-1 appliance datasheets lists only the 330 but then it hasn't updated been since May. Data sheet for 330 is still available and was updated 31/10.

Bugger - looks like I'll have to talk to my actual reseller Order includes 2 IP740s aswell so he'll be bugging me daily now until I place the order - and no, I dont get to choose/change resseller to one with less pushy salesmen.

Anyone tell me the UK list Price for an IP330.

Is there a price difference between ordering FW-1 4.1 and NG ?

(I'm not looking to buy - just need to know approx prices at the moment)

Thanks

I think the IP330 is a ceased product. The replacement is the IP380 (if memory serves). Pricing for the box will be in the 6-7K bracket.

I'm not sure that you can buy 4.1 anymore so the other point is mute.

I've just checked with Nokia and the IP330 is still a current product. Turns out the IP350 & IP380 are additions to the IP300 range rather than a replacement for the 330.

Sorry for the duff info.

IP300 series info

Jeff - Ta ! (just saved me from calling him ). Putting it off for as long as possible )

Trust me If I had the remotest say in who I dealth with I'd have been looking for alternatives.

Inmteresting about the 4.1/NG thing. Doesnt really affect me as I wont be managing them but will have to do some checking that NG is now ok for them.

It isn't that good......

But it's still the corporate Firewall of choice and I make a few quid from consultance on FW-1 so can't complain.
