Hey Shunty, thanks

Sorry, I should have given a bit more info:-

No problems burning to CD, but when I want to burn a BIN on to a DVD thats too big for a CD, Nero ask's to insert supported media, or change my settings. Had a good look at my setting, but can't find anything.

Thumbs up

make sure you have the svcd plugin if they are svcd files...

just cancel the wizard & select "file" then "burn image", then point it to the .que file if you have one, if not the .bin will do.

You can use isobuster.exe to extract the .dat or .mpg(svcd) file from the .bin file & then just drag'n'drop into nero window (new "other format" compilation)

hope this helps...try & get the latest version of nero (5.5.9.9)

Scoty

I use the Pioneer 104 and I also use Bulkpaq discs and don't have any problems, then again I don't use Nero.

You should try using Prassi primo DVD (very good) or RecordNow Max (also very good)

You can probably find copies of these around on the net somewhere.

If you have broadband I could mail them to you

Mail me if you need 'em

Cheers

Cool

Thanks Hanley

Got Prassi Primmo (top software) and use it for direct disc to disc .

It's the size of the bin file that put me off trying to burn to a CD, but I am reading up on something just now, that say's there's a lot of cack in the BIN, so an 850MB bin file should burn on to a 700MB CD. So might not have to burn to DVD after all

ah, yes scoty, the file appears bigger.
They used to put things in like extra .dat files to pad out the cd so that you couldn't copy it...but Nero & other software gets round that

Hanley, could I give you an ftp login to upload the stuff please ??

cheers

Even though the BIN file appears to big for a CD it will still burn okay

Best one to use for these is CDRWIN, it will tell you that the file is bigger but would you like to continue and you just select YES and it burns

Shunty....on it's way!!!

Cheers
