a few more, have to say this game has some VERY nice touches.
cant see the lights going off when you shoot them like certain mags reported, but there some nice bits like when you go to use a computer terminal you get a little mouse pointer on the screen heheh and your wep disappears.

Also have to say i don't what the skill level is on the demo (you cant change it) but its VERY hard, and i mean VERY hard. Its also VERY graphic and gory, i'd be surprised if it gets released as violent as this, blood and guys flying around is fine, but was amazed to see a zombie getting dragged down a corridor by some robotic dog leaving a HUGE blood trail, catch the <cough> little dog up and get a nice scene of it eating the zombies stomach, nice!




















edited to add the things throwing the fireballs are NOT nice! They lob fireballs from a distance, then scrurry across the floor like a lizard at a RAPID rate of knots then leap up at your face all claws and teeth.

For those that havent guessed yet :-



All i can say is, this is VERY early demo code, but its STUNNING!
I've had to lighten the photos as its VERY dark, VERY moody and VERY atmospheric.
I'm not one for 'jumping' in surprise while playing games (tbmeech will verify that as he cacks himself hehe) but this literally had me sitting on the edge of me seat. (well it is 2am and theres been fireworks going off all night honest!!).

This reminds me so much of the early game with nasty little things happening here and there, as you walk you hear moans/groans/doors etc and your left checking behind, left + right etc. The graphics are lush and even tho this version is in a tiny window (about 640x480 ish and i cant get it bigger ) if there are more than two monsters on the screen and im trying to shoot i get less than 5fps (on a xp2200 amd, half meg ram, geforce ti500 machine).

am REALLY looking forward to this now, had a hideous fear it was just a cash in on an old classic title.

well it certainly floats my boat, though i am a huge FPS fan, BUT the atmosphere etc in this is GREAT!

Oh Bugger! Looks my old 1.4GHz althlon ain't gonna cut it with this game.....

Any ideas if it's coming out on XBox - should "cut the mustard" on that platform!!

To be honest, its not looking that special anymore. The early screenshots looked miles ahead of everything else, techincally you can tell its better graphics but in the end its just another (albeit) very good looking FPS.

Massively multiplayer is the way gaming is going to go.

Massive multiplayer will be the way to go, but only when BT pulls its finger out and starts offering decent priced broadband more than a stones throw from the exhange!

just found out what was setting the screen size and res and have now got it running in full screen

However had to turn off all unnecessary programs to play in window.

Still slow on Athelon 1.8 with geoforce 3 and 1 G ram.

Time to upgrade again!
