CMR3 got to wait.......
Can someone post up when they have played it today?
I fancy buying it from Play.cmo today, but am a bit worried that it may be no good.
Particularly I am interested in how the handling and feel are compared to CMR2. Not arsed about graphics, just whether it plays as good as CMR2 (which I still play on PS2
)

My GF has just given me a copy - got to wait till this evening to have a go though!!!

Had a quick go in Game earlier (1 min or 2) and was very impressed. The handling seemed OK (didn't really have much of a play), but the cars interaction with the surroundings (trees, fences, tape etc. is amazing!
Roll on 5.30!!
Ben.

Well, I've spent a couple of hours on it now and I'd say it's well worth getting.
Handling is similar to CMR2, graphics are great. Has more of a genuine rally feel to it - you have a shakedown before events, see the car before you starting the stage. Also has options like launch control.
Graphics and detail is pretty good; my bonnet flew off at one point and in the replay you could see the engine rocking on its mountings!
However....
The pace notes are ****e in places (as usual) and it has become yet another rally game where on replays, to shift up a gear the driver presses the gearstick forwards
P.S. I've unlocked a hidden car - an Sti Impreza in Blue / Black!

To anyone with a PS2 and PC who has WRC on the PS2, and has just bought the PC version of CM3, how does it compare.
Need to hear that it is significantly better than WRC on the PS2 I think before I go spend pennies. Then again, i'll probably just go get it anyway.
Cheers

Sorry people, getting my wires crossed, thought it was out today....
Been told it is about 3 weeks away....
Don't want it for the PS2, that's the trouble... Would like to try the ability of my new P4 machine....
Ah well...
Cheers

Just got it on the Xbox.
Graphics are ok but the Rallisport Challenge graphics are better, but that was specifically written for the Xbox I guess.
Handling is fine although I'd liked a few more camera positions to play it from. The only one I feel comfortable with is the "bonnet cam".
My main gripe with it though is that the car seems to rotate around it's middle and doesn't seem to be guided by it's wheels, almost like a hovercraft at times.
I've only played the first 3 countries in the championship mode so these are only really my first thoughts of the game. I sincerely hope that once you've completed the championship in the Focus you can play the championship in any of the other makes.
