Ive just sold my internal Zip to my dad for a little sum.

We have to external zips aswell as a couple of old hard drives.

Im wondering if i match up the pins etc , little bit of soldering.

Is their anyway that i'll be able to convert external to Interal Drive??

Thanks

Si

External ZIP drives were either parallel or SCSI.

Internals were IDE or SCSI (IIRC).

Which versions have you got?

Typically external devices of this type are simply the internal version in a case with some form of media converter.

I'm not sure about the external Zip but it might be worth open the case to have a look.

External is parallel.
My Internal was a zip.

ive got two, so even just trying and failing wouldnt be that bad.

I thinking maybe if i matched pins it could work

Well, if you need one and are rich, just go and buy one FFS. They are less than a hundred notes last time I looked.

Jesus, some people.....
