I don't think so and did have a valid argument as to why, but forget.
Apple TV keeps getting better, but some of its role has been taken over by my Samsung TV, trouble is the Samsung interface is good but not as good as Apple, also the quality of Netflix seems better on the ATV.

A car radio that ran iOS would be pretty cool. The Android head units I ve used so far have been quite impressive with the sole exception that they lack a proper graphic equaliser- a must in any car HiFi and also the inability to use the Diversity aerial system fitted to the majority of modern cars, although once MOST bus goes properly mainstream "drop-in" / in-dash head units will no longer exist.

You're right, Apple would launch something different then Samsung will copy it and obviously Apple won't be happy. Samsung fans all around the world will defend Samsung.

"According to DisplaySearch, a leader in global market research, Samsung Electronics has been holding the first place in annual TV sales worldwide for the last 9 years straight. In 2014 the Korean manufacturer accounted for 29.2% of the sales, a huge leap from 11.9% in 2013. The number is even more impressive for North America, where Samsung dwarfs competition with a 35.3% TV market share."

Looks like Apple will be coming quite late to the party, if they ever arrive

Look on the bright side, the iCanread may yet make if off the drawing board one day and into your local Apple store, and you'll finally be able to start joining in on Internet forums without getting hopelessly confused quite so often

Carplay is getting there https://www.apple.com/ios/carplay/
Estimate say 40 million vehicles will have android by 2020, that is so under estimated most manufacturers will have both android and car play to cover the market fully
