My two faves are zymol field glaze and swissvax quick finish. Both contain a small amount of carnuaba in them. I use them with a aquatouch ultrasoft microfibre towel.

Which is fine if you use a Carnuaba wax on your car

Because I'm now giving the Jeff's Acrylic a go, I'm going to be using their Acrylic Glos. I always tend to worry (perhaps with reason, perhaps not) that unless I use a 'matched' QD its just going to screw up my LSP. Everything I've read though suggests that using Carnuaba based products on acrylic/polymer based products tends to degrade the finish of both as they can't bond properly.

(currently sitting at the computer kneading a ball of Meg's clay... I think I need to get some help )

Jay, you can get the swissvax quick finish from Swissvax UK - The official UK importer's on-line shop

the towels are from News - Serious Performance and the field glaze from
Zymol & Meguiar´s Products from Monza Car Care - Zymol Waxes, Meguiar´s Waxes

Raceglaze do a good one too, cheaper than the above.
Bear in mind that carnuaba can only remain in solution at around 4-5% so claims of higher concentrations are false (Swissvax one is 4%). Autoglym claim theirs is purely carnuaba..in which case it should be SOLID!

Zymol Field Glaze for high end carnauba finishes, Meguiars Last Touch for synthetic waxes and sealants, and Jeffs Glos products for the Jeffs finishes as they work really well.

Having used Megs tech Wax what is the most compatible one? Not sure if this is a synthetic wax or not.

It's synthetic, so best to use either a neutral product like Megs Last Touch or a sealant based product like Jeffs Acrylic Glos.

I use mainly swissvax, but also use zaino. What colour is your car? For silver and white, i would go for zaino or polished bliss's choice jeffs.

All other colours, i use swissvax best of show or zuffenhausen. Not cheap, but quality never is and any of the above products will last you years and offer the best looks and protection.

Think about it, if you use a cheap wax/polish, the protection will last no longer than a month on average and then you have to reapply, where as something like swissvax, zaino or jeffs, will last around the 3 months mark per coat, the sealants lasting a bit longer. So by the time youve emptied have a dozen bottles of cheap stuff, you'll have only used a small amount of the other. It false economy.
