Default Found a very good insurance broker

After hours of getting insurance quotes of the net and ringing round, the best quote who ive just taken insurance out with are called Mark Richards insurance brokers, Hannah in the japanese import division was really helpful.

A fair bit cheaper than green light, a plan, keith michaels etc.

Its rare i recommend anyone but this company is worth a go for Impreza insurance.

Cheers for the heads up.

This is from the site:

"In addition to our online facility, we have an expert team who can be contacted on: 01275 792270 who can also cater for:

* High Performance Cars (Mitsubishi Evo, Nissan Skyline & Subaru Impreza etc)
* Modified Vehicles (Including Campervan Conversions)
* Limited Edition Models

So if you’re looking for the right cover at the right price for your Japanese Import, look no further, call us today!"

(not sure I'll need the modded Campervan cover lol!)

What model of Scoob and mods were you insuring - I take it they actually cover the non standard parts?

Andy

Cheers boustie,

Actually it was me you spoke to today

Can see a couple of you have tried to go online to try to get a quote, and seen some pretty wild figures.

To be honest the site shouldn't be quoting any figures at all, soz.

Best to give us a ring direct. A website although convenient can't ask all the right questions, like all the modifications, and whilst we have the home address its also useful to know where the car is in the day time. For example someone could live in quite a rural area but commute into an inner city area and leave it on the road.

Again things like driving experience too, if someone has owned the car for a little while, we can usually negotiate some quite substantial discounts against say someone who has just bought the car and previously had a little 1.0 run around.

I do like to think we are a little different, its a family business, we like to give the personal touch and always try to treat each quote on its individual merits.

If we can help the number is 01275 792270.

Can always ask for me or Hannah and am happy to sort out some sort of discount if we can.

Cheers

Hi lads, im 28 got 5 years ncb clean licence no accidents in last 5 years, called a plan and they said they wouldnt insure me due to the postcode i live in.

bb2 postcode = sh*%, Boll*!%S, put my details into money supermarket and the cheapest quote under my postcode was £8315 .

Done the same under a different postcode in ludlow shropshire and came back £1800.

Its all down to the postcode area and its unfair for careful and responsible drivers.

Your not wrong there Tony, got some really good roads up here, a bit scary some of them.

I think BB postcode in general is getting hit pretty hard as much as alot of places, i think it should be down to personal circumstance eg ncb, no claims, clean licence etc.

You never know it might get that way, have you been up these ends by any chance tony?

Thanks for all the calls, Hannah certainly has been a busy Girl

Had a few questions come up so hope this helps:

Yep we do Japanese Imports as well as UK models.

Yes we can insure Modified ones too. Up to about 400 - 420 bhp is okay

Minimum age is usually 30 will go lower, but it will have to be fairly squeaky clean ie: no claims, owned a while and a couple of years bonus. No under 25's soz.

Really weirdly had quite a few calls about the Forester STI, yep can do those too. I thought they were quite rare but it really is surprising how many calls we have had for em, strange

Know we have processed a few policies already, so just like to thank you again.

Cheers.

Hi Dan,

In Nailsea. Used to have the Black Blob eye with the Silver wheels, now the White Hawk eye.

Used to see a White Wagon fairly modified and a Black Hawk eye too, any of them you?

Hi Nick,

Oh dear, sorry. Will get in touch with Stu.

Sorry again.
