hi there ive got a quick question sorry this been mentioned can a subaru crank be polished i no people said not good get cranks reground but ive found a crank been polished and is standard size i understand these subaru cranks are have a tuff hard coating so is it ok if the cranks been polished only? cheers and any info be greatful

Polishing a Subaru crank is fine within reason, if its measured afterwards & still falls into std tolerances.
The nitrided finish will not be compromised, you will have to make sure it is fully cleaned out in the oil galleries before use, which is another reason Subaru cranks are not reground, as it very difficult to clean them out without removing the steel ball bungs, which effectively scrap them.
