Project track car something for the weekend !

Most of the loom is still in just not plugged in to things such as heater, switches for operating wing mirrors etc... the rear loom is my next mission before its finally plugged in and the last tidying up to do before seat is bolted in.
I will post some pics of rear boot springs tommorow night when i get in from work mate are you removing the rear boot hinges as i did so boot totally lifts off ?

I'm currently stripping mine out and sorting the loom, once that is done i plan to get it caged, hopefully the start of next year, then i can get out on track.
Also what width are your wheels?
Thanks

Most likely going to be the Safety Devices 6 point bolt in from Scooby Clinic, i was thinking about a weld in one but i still use mine as a daily and will be removing the bolt in cage when not in use, insurance reasons.
Thanks

So my mate and i have decided to buy a classic scooby as a rolling shell minus the engine and gearbox and just build it from that. Because they are lighter and less complex than the blob eyes etc..Probably looking for power in the region of 380-400 (which i think is more than enough for the track).
13-14k! Wow! I was hoping not to spend that much! But like you said its endless what you can do to them...Im sure when writing my thread i will be in same position! (mind u my spend is split 50/50 thankfully)
Keep up the good work though mate! And make sure on your first track day you get lots of videos and pics for all to see!

The boot pins are about 13mm and pretty sturdy the springs are also quite solid but if it does rattle about then il fit the same boot pins lower down the boot to hold it in place.
fingers crossed should be fine.

Finally ready for fitting the drivers seat today and what an awkward job that was!
firstly i lifted the seat into the car to see how the seat rails married up to the holes in the seat pillars that was welded in place by custom cages and low and behold they didnt line up ! not sure if this was the fact that there are so many different variations of seats and side rails ,but anyway i ended up re-drilling atleast 2 more holes to locate the 8mm bolts needed to fasten the seat inplace.
the seat is now in position for me and it feels perfect but we'll see after first testing session if it needs adjusting but think its fine really ,some pics of the seat fitted.

Well after sitting around for the last few days stuffing my face full of chocolate and watching crappy films i decided to get off my soon to be fat **** and go do some work on the car.
I started off removing the inlet manifold yet again as i needed to refit the wiring loom under the manifold ,also allows me to refit the injectors on the bench instead of struggling on the car.
Next i had a small peice of real carbon fibre that i wanted to use to install 2 extra guages in so when my 52mm pod arrives i now can have 5 guages keeping eye on things.

It is coming together nicely, bet your itching to get out on the track now
I've been lacking that motivation too as the bits pile up in the garage (although I did adjust a slack alternator belt today
).

Does your button start incorporate the factory immobiliser? Feel free not to answer
.
I was considering stripping mine from my car but i hear it's quiet a challenge as it's wired to the ECU.
Thanks

The immobiliser is not wired through the ecu and the push button installed is via a relay and works fine ,as the car is not used as a daily driver a soley a track car the ecu is removed when not in use for security.
