Hi,

I think they are on this thread somewhere but if you really want I will go back and find them on the dyno but its time consuming and we are busy mapping today and tomorrow.

My next post is a belter though.

It was the point, but I was just double checking the detail. I gave up assuming in life years ago.

Thanks for sharing the info. Shame you haven't got VPower comparisons, but thanks neverless and it's better than a kick in the nuts! I'm obviously interested in spool mainly and peak secondary. VPower will, I suspect, provide slower spool and less power.

Hi,

totally agree "assumption is the mother of all **** ups"

As you say it wont spool as quickly on V power, but I will find out as we are just putting a new clutch in the car and then the new map will be on V power as E 85 is no longer available.

Will post up the graph when done.

+3

DESPITE!... the fact that the cute li'l' ol' SC36 is on 20% meths, to get circa <100 bhp more than what you'd expect on V-Power, then that's truly... TRULY mental!

Must make one helluva tractable (and fvcking fast) road car (if it were to be used on the road that is )!!! I'm into it in a big fvckin' way! (Well, I wish I literally was! ) lol

Does the billet wheel require a ported shroud compressor cover?

Hi,

heres one out of interest.

The following graph is from Saturdays rolling road session on an EVO.

Dark side I know, but look at the figures on a GT35 Billet turbo.

The engine is a built 2.3 running race gas, it managed 665.6 BHP on "V" power great result showing these turbo's work on other vehicles not just Scoobs.

Well done to Matt at M.G.Auto's for building the beast and Sohal for mapping.

cheers

Hi,

Yes the SC46 billet is fine to run without a dump valve, so is the SC50 and the SC54 billet. the latter of which is on my car and I dont run a dump valve at all.

Thank you for your enquiry.

cheers

995+VAT for the billet SC46 ??? great where can I place my order ???

Maybe a silly idea, but why not a twin scroll SC46 but with a single scroll exhaust housing ?

In my situation, I have to change exhaust header+Up pipe, so why not to change it for a twin scroll (I already have oil pan for twin scroll). I could use my actual single scroll down pipe for my both turboback (1 APS decat + 1 catted to pass emission test). It would avoid me to buy a new catted exhaust and modify my actual downpipe flange.... "An Hybrid twin scroll"

... but maybe you'll told me I'm drunk to imagine this.

Hi,

price wise the WRX hatchback flange turbo's are £100.00 more than their normal billet counterparts, i.e.........

SC38 flange fit billet......£995.00

SC40 flange fit Billet......£1050.00

SC46 flange fit billet......£1395.00

All prices + vat.

The rest of your query I dont understand ?

We do an SC46 billet single scroll, also the SC46 billet twin scroll and the SC46 billet flange fit wrx 2007 on.

cheers
Kev

Afternoon in the pub, and I started to have strange ideas. This is what I was thinking about :

It was a good idea.... until I realized that it's the same casting part (and my glass was empty for too much time )

Does anyone run a SC50 on an EJ20 newage engine and could say something about the spooling characteristics? This turbo is comparable to the Blouch Dominator 3.0 XTR, right?

Hi,

they are similar but all our turbo's are unique to us, various tweaks were made to our spec so they are not the same as the Blouch range.

I would NOT recommend the SC50 for any 2.0 ltr engine, SC46 billet is by far the biggest I would go, you get a near perfect balance between spool and power.

Hi,

I got sick of hearing my dump valve noise so bunged it up.

I prefer the waste-gate chatter, although its a personnel choice of course.

Ok! I thought it was performance related . So no standard BOV then just plugged off? Maybe a stupid question but if you're not venting to air or recircling where does the air go if you plugged it. Or is pluggin it the same as recircling?

If you're running w/o a recirc-type DV, then by extension there's no recirculation back to the turbo intake anyway.

W/O a DV, when the throttle plate is shut, the residual charge has 'no choice' but to try to get past the turbo's compressor - in the reverse direction! - thus stalling it/slowing it down/stressing the bearing more, and ultimately back through the air intake tract and out through the air filter to atmosphrere.

But modern day turbo tech./materials used are strong enough to allow to run completely DV-less.

Sure car running without bov will be just as good as cars with one if it's not better....?.
