scoobyclinics turbo's just got billet I mean better!
Hi,
the tests were done on two different cars both running 2.33 engines and on a 20% meth mix, my car (C6 SUB) has DH22 profile cams and ST! 4 heads (ported) running the SC54 direct fit Billet turbo, the other car has standard STI 8 heads and cams with the advantage of avics, and a GT30 Billet, both run the amazing Syvecs ECU.
The above graph shows two traces one in red is the standard GT30 the blue trace is the GT30 billet.

The car I referred to earlier with a GT30 billet that made a bar of boost at 3100 RPM and 1.8 bar at 3600 RPM on the road is also a 2.33 but with totally different spec regarding heads and supporting mods.

hope the above helps with your enquiry.
cheers

Has anyone tried an SC54 on a built 2.5 yet to your knowledge Kev ?
I reckon it would be an awesome combo on a car with dual AVCS.
We have a hatch on the dyno at the moment fitted with the astounding SC46 Billet. With just 5 litres of meth (Not even 10%) mixed with Tesco 99 and 1.5 bar boost we are seeing 491bhp and 480lbft. Going to wind in a bit more boost this morning and see if we can break 500/500.

Nice figures !
Finishing off an SC46 billet on the dyno this lunchtime too on a 2.0L though - should be interesting.

I am searching for a turbo that will produce a higher power output for improved elasticity datas at middle and high revs.
The turbo should also have a good spooling response, not much worse than VF35.
Here's my current performance diagram:
http://h-4.abload.de/img/gp_tuning_wrx_sti_my03ooah.jpg
Setup:
-2003 blob-eye type uk
-ej20
-standard internals
-standard tmic
-3" turbo-back
-Bailey Motorsport DV12
-Ecutek
-Green Performance panel filter
-Walbro 255 fuel pump
-VF35 turbo
-98 octane fuel
Which one you would recommend me, when I don't want to change my tmic setup?
By now my car gets only 102 octane fuel
A SC40 billet with sleeve bearing or a SC46 with ball bearing?
I think that the SC36 or SC38 won't perform much better than my actual VF35 setup.
What would be the right turbo for my requirements, the SC46 sounds very good and which injectors could you recommend me, 650cc ones?

SC46 is great on 2 litre Sti engines too.
One of our recent 2005 UK Sti customers said this "it went on to amaze me the shear acceleration lol and couldn't believe how responsive the sc46 is....it felt quicker response wise and as quick if not quicker to spool as my vf35"
Full details here.

And speak of the devil ay martyn lol yes that sc46 with the supporting mods (thread above) is awsome, as i have said before it spools the same if not better than my vf35 and thats with the perrin fmic on instead of the sti top mount aswell
its happy days......

Hi,
we only do the XTR billet wheel.
We have developed them and the range of turbo's to suit over the last 2 years with Blouch turbo's , as you can see from the size of this thread how much testing and development work has been carried out, in the end it was well worth it.

cheers

Hi,
somewhere on this forum its been claimed that billet wheels are in fact heavier than their standard counterparts.
here are the results of a weigh in to of our wheels proving otherwise.
18 G....standard 71g billet 48g
20 G....standard 72g billet 49g
35 R....Standard 120g billet 83g
37 R....Standard 132g billet 86g
They look considerably lighter to me.
Cheers

On average, going by the above ^^^, the billet impellers are pretty much 33% lighter than their regular counterparts. Whooooosh! lol
