Don't take this as ***** waving Kev, but just for comparison this is my MY05 STi with a non billet SC46. Mods are pretty much the same as above with the addition of Hyperflow TMIC, 650's, 10% methanol and tube headers. Mapped by Race Dynamix.
Run No 2 was on low boost.

Hi,

good result, but my point is the STI 8 we just ran was on V power with very minimal mods, would be interesting to see what figure yours would achieve on our dyno, still nice to see the SC46 non billet performing though.

Things are happening thick and fast today, hot on the SC46 Billet and non billet graphs here is an SC46 Billet on a 2.33 with a meth mix.

Absolutely agree it's a great result for a mainly stock set up.
I posted mine to satisfy the 'What ifs' that might have followed.

You're right, it's not yours it's mine....and wave it I jolly well will!

Cloud 9 is a fantastic place to be, I heartily recommend it to everyone.

After mapping I did the road test whilst Pat the Map sat in the passenger seat and tapped away at his laptop. 503bhp and on the road full boost is achieved at 3000rpm it's absolutely ballistic!!!!

All on a bolt-on turbo.

It doesn't look too shabby either....

only did a 1.5 and 1.7bar on vpower only and was very safe as main aim was to set up for totb where I currently am at the moment and race fuel is in the tank now. Something like 520bhp and 582bhp iirc.

Hi,

its difficult to say, the top mount will be the limiting factor though.

The STI 8, recently done, maxed out its top mount at 383 BHP, on the other hand a forged 2.5 made 460BHP with a front mount, so I imagine somewhere between the two.

I guess its a case of see what it does, it would be another graph to add to the portfolio, soon we will have a printout for most of the popular combinations.

cheers

Would an SC36 be a straight swap onto an Bug WRX?

It has had some other bit done ahead of a new turbo (ported headers, FMIC, walbro) and will be getting a TGV delete and some pinks with the turbo.

Do I need any other hardware (apart from gaskets)?

Will this me too much for a standard WRX block and box?

Cheers

Jon

Just to clarify, does an STi 8 (2003) have the TGVs? I've read differing opinions!

Hi,

an SC36 Billet will fit straight on, no gaskets to buy they are included.

Its all down to your mapper to make it safe.

Cheers

Hi,

Monday morning and its time to pick up the pieces left from T.O.T.B. and I mean pieces.

We finally blew up the pink car, but not until breaking a few records and scoring 5 out of the 6 points awarded to team Subaru.

Our GT 30 Billet turbo hurled the pink car, piloted by Mikee, up the drag strip in 9.91 seconds at 132 mph, backed up by a 9.96 at 138mph.

Our new scoobyclinic gearkit faired well too, scoring a world record for a 5 speed syncro kit.

We were also fastest Subaru of the day, with a 60 foot time of 1.52 all this on an engine that has run two seasons, winning last years scooby sprint and scooby shootout, this year its 70 points ahead in the Time Attack race series, running standard STI 8 heads, poor thing expired yesterday after winding up the boost to over 2.0 bar just as a test, we knew the engine was ready to retire, its been a winner.

Well done to Clive Mad hammer for beating his personal best with a 10.16.

cheers
Kev

think i didn;t quiet type what i ment lol

not taking anything away form the car at all, had a good look round it and its carcking bit of kit, i was up at clinic last week and was chatting to beef and it was running at the time, all i was saying was that in the flesh its pretty sublte (other than the orange) and sounds like a decated sti, not what power its actualy running, so if you wanted to you could make a bit of a sleeper out of it.
