Your welcome
I have learned from hard work that was done by others so it was a small price to pay.

Kev, roughly what rpm would you say full boost occurs on both the SC40 and 42 - on a STi 5 with equal-length ported headers and 40mm dia. uppipe?.

This is awesome power band! It produces 210 hp at @ 3250 rpm which is super magic for this kind of turbo. I have never seen any 3.0XT-R turbo produces that kind of power so what is the magic with the setup? (except Pat's mapping skills ) Even the EJ25 engines spools 1000 RPM sooner.

Little update from my latest drag event with the Billet 35R.

Wanted to test the car pre TOTB after Paul @ Zen mapped on race fuel and had optimised the LC settings. Only did 2 runs as that's all I needed to check all was well. Run 1 with 5k LC @ 1bar and run 2 with 5300 rpm LC @ 1.2 bar.

Results here

Sorry videos are not good, I forgot the video Camera so just mobile efforts

Hi,

Got an VF35 on my STi -05, supporting mods:
Tubular headers and 3" catless exhaust
FMIC w/reversed inlet
Cone filter and larger turbo inlet hose
Running 21 psi, 310 bhp/308 tourqe

The boost drops 4-5 psi just above 6k, want something that pulls all the way. Any chance for the SC36 to meet my satisfaction? Will I need larger injectors than the standard 565s?

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

the SC36 Billet will be better but if you are looking for a bigger jump in BHP I think you need to consider something like the 38 or 40 billet, injectors will max out around 420 BHP so they will be fine.

Cheers

Thanks for quick response! Do you have any dyno and boost/AFR graph of the SC38 on 2.0 AVCS engine? Guess there is a minor difference in spool between the 36/38, what to choose; Power Response

Kev, can you tell us a bit more about the 33 billet please? I believe Ross Sport is selling 30's fitted with 35 wheels which spool like 30's but make power nearer 35's ( confusing myself here), is the 33 along simular lines?

Cheers Dave

Hi,

the idea behind the 33 Billet is that it should spool like a standard non billet GT30 but give the power of a standard non billet GT35.

I cannot confirm that they do as we have not run one yet.

Waiting for the correct engine/car to come along.

cheers

Kev I would not mind trying it on my car, it did 523bhp on standard rotated gt30 using 15% meth.

i think you should try a billet gt on jp's (jags) wr1, if he is getting 601bhp with just v-power on a 2.35 build with standard one what would it do on the billet ??

fantastic opportunity to really push the billet forward me thinks

Hi,

its a 2.33 type build where the customer wants a 33 billet, normally they either want a proven 30 Billet or the power of the also proven 35 Billet.

We get many of these builds through our doors but time restraints have so far stopped us trying the 33 billet, customers want their cars back.

We also have our own Time attack and Nippon challenge cars but as its mid race season we would be asking for trouble if we started messing with them.

we have a 2.33 on the dyno at this very moment with a direct fit SC54 billet, perfect engine to try the 33 on but its not got the rotated pipe work required, customer is wanting to do a track day next Saturday, so no time to test I am afraid.

One will come along soon.

Cheers

Hi,

latest news, a GT35 billet has just topped 700 BHP on Mike Latimers car, Mapped by Simon, AKA Jolly Green Monster.

701 BHP at 2.1 bar running Q16 race fuel, after T.O.T.B. Sunday Mike says he will push it even harder.

Well done to Mike, Simon and all concerned, its nice to see other tuners getting great results on the Billets, that way no one can claim our findings are biased, these are completely independent tests carried out by other specialists.

Cheers

Hi,

a much requested graph has just peeled out of our Dyno's printer, its the SC46 billet on an STI 8 running "V" power, standard top mount intercooler, with an ecutec re-map by Pat,

383.6 BHP from an exhaust, fuel pump, inlet pipe, induction kit, bolt on turbo and a map, no other upgrades great result we think.

Cheers
Kev
