hey all. had a few setbacks past month or so, which have hindered what was rapid progress. the car is now safely back at scoobyclinic waitng for front arches and bumper to arrive. a lot of small jobs have been done by steve making brackets, lightening shell further, making spoiler mounts, digital dash mounts, etc i will get pics to update when i go to the clinic on saturday. cheers for not loosing the faith andy
, have some updates for you eager beavers this weekend. Any good vids of the time attack final out there anywhere cant even find any of duncans vids, whats going on?

went up to scoobyclinic yesterday, motorways have become a joke journey there took a shade over 4 and home around 5 hours no thanks to mile after mile of roadworks and average speed cameras and a blowout 30 miles from home, spose it was friday 13th
anyway on arrival i was glad to see finally the bodykit has arrrived, and i must say looks absolutely fantastic hung on the car its well how can i put this its WIDE and LOW and UNASHAMEDLY AGGRESSIVE & very well made, pics will go up asap.
i also witnessed something truely unbelievable. scoobyclinic have paired up with an american turbo company and have developed a new turbo with billet internals. this was fitted to kevs p1 (which was running i believe their 450 bhp conversion and a few extras), now this turbo is a genuine direct fit, and it goes staight in no alterations no hassle. the turbo without any mapping increased bhp by 37!!! once mapped this turbo is in standard position now remember, the car achived 578bhp, at a very respectable boost level not sure what but it wasnt much. torque was very good aswell and kept pulling, both curves on graphs rise very quickly power dropped very very slightly after its peek but torque was still going for a standard position turbo this is just crazy. they have these turbos in stock, and i would advise that if your looking for an upgraded standard position turbo you give the clinic a bell as your first port of call.
as for my engine its waiting to be assembled so hopefully by crimbo i should have a nearly completed project. its been a quiet few months but now things should really get moving

yeah sound mate
it was just waiting for parts really had to get everything in before moving forward but as next weeks update pics will show. biggest news is that we have decided to run a brand new scoobyclinic gt35r billet turbo which has been designed with an american turbo company and the dyno results are amazing, this means once again the predicted power figures will increase torque will increase. this turbo made some stupid figures as shown in the thread link below. will look to get some pics up in the next few days
here are the turbos on here, tuning_enginecomponents

well here we go 1st picture updates for some time. the kit arrived, i have to say it is very high quality and although just hung on at this point seems to fit very well, but a lot of work has to be done on the car before the kit could be fitted and a lot of the front and rear arches had to be cut away to get the clearance inside the arches for the big wheels to fill them.this is good for me as it shaves a few unessential kgs off
there is another piece that goes from bottom of the arch to the top of the splitter but thats not in the pic front bumper has a good flat nose nice and aerodynamic with good vents for brakes & good surface area to bolt a big splitter to and as you can see a rear diffuser will soon be in place of most of the rear bumper there is at least 3 weeks of fitting cutting and filling to get perfect and thats before paint! not a job for the faint hearted or if you dont like angle grinders

the weather is closing in and im sad to say my trusty steed is finally starting to die. my nissan almera N reg 1.4 tiempo what a true warrior of a car has after 150,000 miles at least 20k of thorough abuse has started to give up. after a blowout at 70mph on the motorway saturday night caused by a collapsed shock , also has a multitude of other probs inc clutch, gearbox brakes and the fact it has no power at all anymore i thought its time to get rid.
now i already own a hawkeye spec c but that is not really suitable for the road as it has been coverted into a race car, so im left with that dreaded question, what next. another hawkeye sti, an evo or something different altogether. ive had six stis 5 classic 1 newage ive had an evo six, ive had a couple of bmw's but i am worried if i buy something without some grunt will i like it i hated my civic type r and my 06 325i and sold them both very quickly after buying. i didnt like the350z or focus st, all i keep wanting to do is get another spec c or hawkeye sti. only thing stopping me is the fact i have a 300mile total commute per week and fuel is'nt cheap like it once was. does anyone else have a subaru they use to commute. i should get a diesel really i suppose, but that is a big ask.
any opinions or advice welcome, no budget decided yet will sort that when i decide on a car

Cars coming on, is that the same kit that zero260 had on his white Hawkeye Spec C? (Varis lookalikie)
Get yourself another wee runner and when the scoobs finished you will enjoy the power more!

no its not. rear of rear arches are the only similar pieces rest is totally different.

I know from this year that it really helps you relax on track if you don't have to worry about driving it home afterwards. Also make long trips to scotland more bearable
and knockhill is a very very very long way

Middle + nowhere = knockhill
Was up in the highlands last year travelling around for a week and stumbled across it. Dedication from anyone who goes all the way up there to run in TA
:
been thinkin of a 4x4 they are just pricey. im not sure ill need a wagon to be honest i think scoobyclinic will take the two/three cars on trailers to the events we follow or meet there for testing the day before the rounds, for track days ill just hire a van and borrow trailer from clinic. they have about 4 so borrowing one for the odd weekend should be sound. i just cant wait anymore, its killing me just desperate to a track day
more photos here. a lot of modifications to get the kit fitting HOW I WANTED IT especially the rear arches as as you can see, i THINK fronts will need doing aswell. nothing is ever simple
