So what's the difference between Prodrive/Speedline/SSR's Flowforming Technology and Enkei's Most Advanced Technology ??
An interesting read https://enkei.com/engineering/
Very interesting article Don, thanks for sharing!
Young's modulous reminded me I did a subject on materials in my first year of Uni :O
Out of interest, how much do your SSRs weigh Don?

At present no idea I did weigh one when first purchased but don't recall, but probably not much difference to OEM - the answer is probably buried in my car thread or in one of the emails to/from you
thats interesting so in short, Flowformed wheels have better yield strength and tensile strength than cast but not as strong as forged - bit like a halfway house, but Enkei come along with 2 manufacturing process that gives their wheels forged strength without the forging costs
Does anyone know what the middle section length is in a 2008 JDM STi, off the top of their head, 49" or 53"? I'd like to remove the second cat(if it has one) and silencer and fit a straight through section.
I've just been on the phone with H&S and they told me to measure in order to ensure it fits. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JAPSPEED-...kAAOSw0LteXhXa looks good as well (if it fits).

After some searching on the interweb an approx weight for a GT-V01 18 x8.5 wheel is 9.75kg +/- depending upon actual offset.

Well, I won't be going out and measuring for you this time, with a broken back!!
Still getting used to it to be honest. I can’t believe how different it is to the Spec C RA I had. Kind of miss the rawness of that, but the R205 is one hell of a competent thing and I think it’s going to be one that grows on me the longer I have it.
At first I thought it was a bit slow (relatively speaking), but then realised there is actually a BIG difference between Sport and Sport Sharp!

I am sure the R205 corners much better than the RA.
I remember reading somewhere that on the same corner the >08 car can corner 10mph faster than the hawkeye.
I think the only difference between Sport and Sport# is the throttle response i.e. you get 100% throttle at e.g 50% of the pedal's travel but I could be wrong.
I've only driven in Sport# very few times and prefer to modulate the gas pedal with my foot instead.

Oh it’s absolutely faster than the Hawkeye ‘in the twisties’. I’m just getting used to the more insulated feel and way better quality of the interior of the Hatch. I think I’d definitely hate a Golf R!
I’ve tried foot to the floor from 10mph to 80mph in both Sport and Sport# and the difference is stark. It honestly feels like it’s pegged back in Sport mode.... like there’s a different ECU map for it. Maybe I’m doing something wrong... dunno.

330S has started to make a "grinding" noise when the push button start is pressed ( when sat in seat and clutch pressed ). Sounds like trying to change gear without clutch. Car also doesn't start.
May do it once and then be fine next press, but ;last week took lots of goes to work normally and start.
Not found this problem in searches for Sti.
I'd guess it is the starter not engaging with the flywheel gears ( is it pre-engaged or inertia starter? ) - maybe starter motor is loose ( seems OK ) or teeth on flywheel missing?

I'd keep your fear of sports# quiet myself.

I'll put the smart charger on in case it's low battery due to the short journeys last few months ( new performance battery last year ) and check the terminals are tight on the solenoid and the starter is screwed on tight.
Flywheel ring gear / starter gear can be checked when it has a new clutch shortly.

Charged overnight, did it ( grinding and no starting ) second time started. Starter motor is bolted tight to engine/g'box. Solenoid seems secure. Power and earth cables nice and tight.
Have to wait until starter is off / clutch change as I feel it's teeth missing!

Does anyone here have any feedback on Hardrace ARBs I am looking at replacing the rear one and dont want Whiteline for all the rust and paint issues previously mentioned are these any better?
Well I bit the bullet and got the 22mm hardrace one, I will probably go with the SuperPro drop links as well, oh and some hoping and praying I can get the nuts and bolts undone to fit it
