Anyone know this car, looks nice but I think it’s a bit overpriced but difficult to tell as not a huge amount of hatches available.

From the VIN it's a late registered MY11 built in December 2010 (model change 1012) although it is a 340R model.

It's priced high because of it's mileage and late registration; however, that doesn't make the engine any safer, particularly as it is a 340r. I would also question the electronically adjustable suspension.

Default Red Trim

Can anybody help?
I applied red trim around my front grill some years ago which has now faded.

Where can I get the red trim from?

It is the high profile, foam backed type I am after.

Thanks

Interesting fault developed today.

I had no reversing sensors operating when reversing. Also when checking the reverse lights did not come on either.
Also, hill start assist OFF light lit on dash ( the light by 160mph on speedo).

Could be connected?

For reverse light / alarm I found it came on and off as I wiggled the gear lever about in reverse.

Is a switch / sensor for detecting reverse loose or failing??

Any help welcome!

Thanks

2009 Hatch STi.

PS - when I wiggled gear lever and reverse lights / sensors came on, hill start assist light went off!
No DTC codes or CEL.

Backup light switch is on the gearbox so maybe the nylon operating pin is worn and not always making full contact

As the hill holder is electronic and linked to the VDC/ABS systems and Body Integrated Unit, as is the reverse light system, there is definitely a link.

Thanks Don, as ever!

How easy is it to change this switch ... get access to it on the drive / basic ramps?? Or can it be reached on the hatch 09 from the gear lever gaiter hole??

Internet seems to think it needs to drop the gearbox to get at it!

Cheers

Your symptoms sound like mine, 08 hatch STI. I replaced the reverse light switch without removing the gearbox. After reading threads on here, I supported the gearbox on a jack, removed the rear mount and used a crows foot socket an a couple of long extension to remove the switch. Fiddly but not difficult.
There are 2 switches, reverse and neutral. Get the right one.

24031AA441 is the wiring harness that feeds all the switchess (DCCD,Neutral position switch and backup light switch)

How easy to fit....

The "official" answer

I believe you have to at least lower the rear of the box to get to the NPS, so probably the same for the backup switch.

Would it be worth replacing the neutral position sensor at same time?

Quoted £9.64+vat for this... 32005AA111 be with me next week!

Seems excessively cheap for a UK Dealer.
Would think more like £19.64+vat as have seen it listed at €26.78 inc vat at 19%

I am looking for the part number of the plastic brake line clip that is located opposite the steering column (driver's side front) as it has snapped but can't seem to be able to find it.
@ Don, do you have any idea?
I will try to upload a photo shortly as i am not having much luck.
Edit: hope this works : https://photos.app.goo.gl/Eg5D7mbxXLDMPAAe9

Few cleaned up pics. It's been running sweet as a nut since its recent headgaskets & head rebuilds.

it was forged back in 2014...just because its forged dont think yours wont still do headgaskets. It will.

118k on the car now and driven daily rain hail or shine

Looking to upgrade my injectors in the hatch next year now that the rebuild is done, my goal is 400 bhp and obviously the turbo needs doing as well, but one step at a time

What size injectors are you guys running at that sort of level of power?

This looks really nice.
Can you display more than one gauge simultaneously?

Doubtful it's screen is not large enough

I've had a look at the website but it's not clear if more than one gauge can be displayed at a time.
As you say Don, the screen doesn't look big enough.
