I looked at buying one of those. A video on their website shows it lapping quicker than a 330i. Apparently they depreciate like fk. Not sure why. Its also pretty poorly equiped for the money. As ever you pays your money.....

Default Alloy wheels question

Does anybody know what the alloy wheels fitted to the cosworth inpreza are? I would like to buy some for my dark grey sti. Is it true subaru are going to stop building the hatch or are they just making some changes?? When i looked at buying mine the dealer said the only colours left are red and silver. Whats this going to mean for used prices of hatches?

I believe the rims on the cosworth are made by taem dynamics, not sure of the name though.

As for turinis, when I was looking I was the same in the fact I kept going back to them, speak to revolution, they were going to do me a crcking deal and had a decent offset available for the hatch.

Well, I am going to sell my hatchback. I had no intention of selling it, but my friend is selling his immaculate RS4 and I can't resist. He is replacing it with a 911 turbo, lucky sod.
I just don't know if I could cope with selling it privately. I haven't even got around to advertising it yet.
If anyone wants it send me a PM. Silver 2008, sti PPP, prodrive springs + original springs, 18" GT1, STI splitter and front fogs, 14500 miles serviced March 2010

Still not sure if I am making the right decision.
It probably won't sell anyway.

I thought that too...

But fair enough for orthochris, I have always and will always want an RS4, especially the Avant, what a car....

If it hasn't already got it Chris, get the Milltek exhaust system for it

Been considering it too

Their not the marque they once were, and don't produce the same drivers cars.

The Megane is just as expensive and mpg aint as good in the derv, and the BMW 335D is grp 18 insurance albeit with a stonking engine.

i very nearly bought an rs4 before the 330s but just didnt like the interior and was a little dissapointed with the performance, but the main reason was the versitility of the hatch.

And another here who considered an RS4 prior to the hatch, was looking at around an 06but could not justify the running costs of a 4.2 V8 as a daily driver running to and from the nursary each day (2 mile round trip), one day maybe!!!

The only car I would consider at the moment to replace my STi is a Lotus Evora

At work between the lot of us are Focus RS`s , RS4`s , RS6`s , 911`s and Beemers and I`ve driven them all but the only car I`ve driven recently that would replace the STi for me is the Evora . We went around the Lotus factory at Hethel last Wednesday and now I`m even more impressed. So I reckon the best solution is a Subaru for all year round use and an Evora for summer fun.

I looked at RS4's before getting the STI hatch...

(06 Avants mainly)..but they are overpriced and too expensive to run... maybe in a couple of years when the new RS4 is released and the current ones drop in value.

Had my 08 STI hatch insured with Churchills for a year. When i took the policy out they wanted proof of a tracker being fitted. So i sent them the voucher that came from metasat. Policy is due now, they say they have no proof of the tracker being fitted so the car has not been insured for theft, for the last year. A point they did not bother to raise. Im now in the same position as last year just topped up my metasat, but no voucher because they say they didnt receive it ! Has any body else been asked proof of fitment ? If you have what satisfied your insurance company ? Ive got the e-mail showing ive justed payed the 100 euros . Worst part is it took 30 mins to actually get to speak to any body.

Its a major worry that the information you supply to the insurance companies is actually passed on - vital stuff like tracker proof, modifications etc. I usually ask for a letter back stating that the mods and tracker etc have been noted.
NFU and now Saga have been good at confirming the info - but the proof is always when the claim goes in

I told them i must get the voucher back. My fault for not following it up last year. You think they would have one person there who knows about cars. I.E check with manafacturers . One simple question to subaru uk do you fit tracker as standard, to this car ? It even tells you on the internet site. Im getting a bit frustated now. Really dont want to have to pay to get confirmation .
