Ferodo pads don't need any heat - work very well from cold - best road pad on the market imo.
(Now, if you'd made that comment about Red Stuff pads then I'd have completely agreed )

Just did my regular commute after last night's installation. Turn in can now be described as turn it. It feels a lot more like the older STi's now (for me that is a good thing!). Switching from and 07 to the Hatch I really notice the wheels being further forward in the car. Looking at the car dead side on the wheels now sit towards the front of the arches, rather than dead centre.
I am sure there are some very advanced stuff done by Neil when he put on the fast road geometry that I really don't understand, but it feels great.
That is one vote for ferodo pads, any other opinions?

Don't know if I am just being paranoid, but since fitting the ARB's the car is definateley squeaking and rattling more. The boot in particular. Would a rear strut brace help with this?
Anyone else noticed this?
So far two votes for ferodos. Any more?

Since doing the rear subframe bushes & rollbar the car does have a few more creaks & groans at low speeds, especially on our superbly maintained roads.
The front passenger side silver dash insert is the most annoying, until the car interior warms up, it squeaks like mad.

I wonder if fitting a cross brace to the rear turrets would stiffen up the shell so the tailgate and body did not flex differently. Or silicone grease all the contact points?
What I have really noticed is that the ride has settled over the last three days and feels less brittle, do ARB's bed in?
I am so glad I stayed with 17" wheels and did not go down the 18" route, I think if the ride got any firmer the car would be undriveable in London!
Nearly lost the car this morning, -2 outside, just started the car, first corner, no grip, front washes wide, chap in 106 coming the other way has the reflexes of mongoose, dodges out the way and probably fills his pants. Lesson learned, thats why there is a temperature gauge. Suddenly the tyre temperature monitoring on the ferrari 458 makes sense.

+1 !!! I had 18" GT1's with F1a's on mine until a few weeks ago. Swapping back to the 17" stock wheels with Toyo snowprox makes a big difference in these lower temps. Not as nice looking, but safer nevertheless

Which brakes have you got on yours?? The standard 2 pot fronts, cos I was led to believe they were the largest that could fit under the 17's.
#1787
I thought the STi had 4pots on the front and 2 pots on the rear, certainly that is what my bugeye had, and I would hate to think my Hatch is carrying 80 BHP more, with smaller brakes.

decided a new set of brakes is in order, been down the AP route already but think these are a much more stock look and should be much better as the spec c and R205 are fitted with these as stock.
japanparts.com : PARTS DATABASE
Think these will also compliment the new anchors:

I'm sorry, but did they really say £4,100 for a set of brakes, sexual or not, that is just barking. Sureley you could get a set of 6 pot brembos for significantly less than that!
I do like the front strut brace though, still would like to see one for the rear, in aluminium monocoque box section, just behind the passenger seats, embossed STi, and.....
Sorry, got distracted. Really wish I could stop my hatch creaking at low speeds in and out of pot holes.
ARB's are now a lot more compliant and less brittle than when installed. Really liking the ALK. Don't know which is the bigger improvement, but I am chuffed to bits with the results.
Just need some decent seats.

Seriously though, how much!
They do look lush.
Why were the Recarros an option on the list when I was buying the car, but not available now?
Yes I have taken a very expensive route to 330s ownership, but hey...
Should I get my brake lines upgraded to braded while the pads are being replaced, is there any advantage?

Sn won't give us our own section as they say everyone else would want theirs and it would lead to a fractured board. I don't see breaking models down by styles, eg calssic, bug etc etc that big a mission, would sure as hell make life easier.
RB5 - Sad as it is to say this, but I think your on the right lines with our own forum.

Surly it will only be 3 sections, classic, Middleage (bug, blob etc) and newage (us), makes sense as parts are generally not interchangeable between all 3 and would keep everyone happy.
Come on SN!
