Managed to knock a few jobs off the list....

First photos show that I have Plasti-dipped the front fog light surrounds and bumper side vents. Makes the front look a lot better in my opinion, removing that horrible chrome.

Finally sorted the rear light clusters! Ended up tinting them with spray after two failed attempts with vinyl overlays. Really pleased with the finish, though need a clear fog light cluster to make them symmetrical.

Hoping to get the Perrin wing riser kit fitted this week and either wheels refurbed in Anthracite or a new set of wheels......

Front end looks miles better now. I'll be interested to see your thoughts on the wing riser kit. What wheels are you thinking ?

im running one of these in the rear fog - more than bright enough to be a fog, even with a smoked overlay

Thanks. I've been waiting for some dry weather to fit it as have had it a while, not sure wether I will get on with the gap created though without painting it and the bottom of the spoiler.

I'm going for a dark anthracite and going to see a local company I have used before to gauge wether worth getting these refurbed or buying some others.

I guess there is only one way to tell mate. It's something I've been eyeing up for a while now in all honesty. It's just a nice subtle mod but I think it could look really good.

I'm going to to be selling some gt1's cheap in the near future if you want to refurb and do those in anthrecite?

All,

My pod attempts haven't stopped. ATI refuse to make or deal with RHD as they state there isn't enough interest.

But....

Thanks to Dave @ R-Spec he has put me in contact with a fabricator who states he is willing to make the ATI style pods but obviously needs a dash to measure up on for about 5 minutes in Merseyside.

Is anyone in that neck of the woods?

Can anyone confirm between what years that dashes go from and to as i believe there was no change to the dash on the release of the saloon in 2011????

Advice please, how much would you pay for a Black, silver or blue 2009 JDM hatch STi with 90.000 miles? (not km) I think between £12,500- £13,000. Opinions please.

That's a hard one Darren.

The ones that are for sell now were bought September time when prices were low and the pound was strong against the yen.

I've been following the auction sites and grade R ones with nearly 100,000 km are going for £9k which by the time you add everything on top your looking at about £15k landed.

I'd say so.

Providing it's a good one, proof of cam belt being done and in good condition like most JDMs are on import.

Yeah prob would be a problem if you use it quite a lot as I don't really use the boot that much so don't really notice how low it is anymore

Got round to fitting the Perrin wing riser kit yesterday. A few things to note if you are planning on doing it - (1) you will probably want to paint the undside of the spoiler as mine was left with a few unpainted bits from the factory (2) you will need something to cover a whole that is left and not utilised, I used a push clip with some silicon and (3) it restricts the amount you can open the boot quite a bit - though I believe it's worth it.

Here are the pictures....

I know, I need a clear rear fog cluster!

Boot on maximum allowance.

Black wheels and clear fog light cluster should finish me off outside, then it's on to the engine bay.....

Hi Guys - where is the best place to buy oem headlights bezels x2 (mine seem to have gained a line of cracks like an elephant has leant on it for a few seconds ).
And off side front wing ? Cheapest best prices where ? (Elephant agsin..)

I have been enjoying my 2.35 running a small Yankee polka pickle turbo (SC46 equivalent) & Grimmspeed tmi 480.2 bhp @ 1.7 bar Explosive performance compared to the previous lazy 2.5 running 454bhp @ 1.65 bar.

Thx for the replies (in advance.... no elephants). Lol

Love the look of your car, I've got a blue one and had planned everything you have done plus a couple of different mods.
It's nice to put my ideas into real life.
