Nice to meet you too and thank you for the nice comments about the car, enjoyed today driving around in the 20th Anniversary. This next statement might upset some die hards but this Hatch is the best road going subaru I've ever owned and I've had a few. People say "there heavy" "they don't handle" etc etc well I can report it doesn't feel heavy and it handles magnificently, with the traction control off it even goes side ways! Very predictable and just a hoot to drive, considering I haven't gone past 6000 rpm it's fast and pulls hard. It's surprised me and my friend who has a 2006 Hawkeye spec c after driving my hatch he now wants to sell his car and get one like mine!

Thanks Raggy I am genuinely very impressed, Yam from MBdevelopments loved it too. I think these hatch backs will be coming over from Japan a lot more soon

Think this is better package than the S204 Darren? Is it road worthy already?

I loved my S204 it was awesome! But this hatch just feels better and I can't put my finger on it apart from I fit the seats better. It just turns in so well, I can't say it better or worse than the S204 tbh until Chevron has worked his magic on it as he did with my S204. What is better IMO is it's such a sleeper and you don't get the disgusted looks after I'd overtaken someone in my other Subaru's. Every body so far who has seen it loves it. No it is not road ready tbh I borrowed some trade plates so I could get a feel for it. I love it!

Bet you can`t wait.....well you didn`t if you wacked trade plates on !! Another 3 or 4 weeks for me . Definitely interested in some decent seat covers if you find any. Mod wise, I`m going to live with it for a while with just a panel filter , remap, and geo , then , maybe, step up to a sports cat etc. Trying to decided between open source and Race rom at mo.
You lucky, lucky .......!

I couldn't wait! I had to drive it, had the lads queuing up to have a go. Had to upset a few people as I didn't want everyone having a go! You won't be disappointed when you drive yours. I can't believe these cars had such bad press they are amazing. Looking for the remap, miltek and panel filter then the Chevron handling magic. Does anyone know what power it may make?

Oh you've missed out. Mine's doing 319bhp with 359 of torque!
The 2.5 gives the torque I think over a 2litre

I'm the same. Stuff annoys me. But the front lip will get some stick. Wait till you park up and the kerb hits your bumper bottom!
If it's smashed that's a different matter.

I got some of that super super stick anything glue you can buy at classic bike shows and repaired my side skirt (the HTautos side skirts) when I put a crack in it. You can't see it as it's under Meath. But I knew it was there. LoL

Good point, and probably something we have all suffered from at some stage in ownership; I decided to change my mind set as worrying about every tiny mark was spoiling ownership. IMO, the car is there to be driven and enjoyed, and the dings are inevitable. H !!aving said that, I will be parking my 19000 mile spec c in the far, far corner of the car park ( some c**t will still park nxt to it !) and kicking off any dogs that look like they will put their paws on it. I always park in Tesco`s by one of those landscaping divisions, to give an extra meter on the next bay, and noone on the otherside....call me **** if you like

I don't know if anyone is interested but The chap who got me my car has a silver Jdm hatch back STi on its way from Japan. I believe it has done 80k-90k miles and he wants £12750 all in. Including SVA and registering just thought someone maybe interested.

Can the whole light be smoked , or is it just the outter edge?
I'm contemplating putting the clear foglight on then smoke the whole thing (like flyeye)

i used to have the whole full smoked, but it wasn't popular as it altered the 'white reverse' and fog light too much.

The original wheels are either 7.5 or 8 inches wide if I am not mistaken, why do you want to put 9.75" wheels on it?

It will tramline so badly besides looking chavtastic.

8.5 standard on the 20th anniversary same wheels that came on the RA-R, ref' the question I wanted to know the widest possible as I may do the odd track day to find the limits of the car. Wanted to run a 255 tyre for the track so 9.0" will suffice now.

On an 8.5 inch width alloy wheel you can easily run a 245/40/18 tyres. If you go for something a Ferderal 595 RSR tyres their 245 is actually more like a 255 and fits like a glove on an 8.5 inch rim.
