Lost my clutch today, pedal went to the floor and could be pulled up / pushed down with no resistance.
Got recovered to home, breakdown man checked around master cylinder as level was low ( below the take off point Doh! Was ok 2 weeks ago! ) and there was fluid under master cylinder, and on downpipe.
So a question :-
On a 2009 Hatch impreza, Is there a service kit for the seals etc.
Seems to have a bit of a leak on clutch the master cylinder.
From the service manual there is a seal where reservoir sits, a gasket underneath where clutch damper fits ( mine has been removed ), and the seals on the piston in both master and slave.
Thanks
V

Seems to be leaking around the edges of this plate.
Servie manual shows it looking like this?

You will notice the (-0802) under the part codes.
It means they were only fitted upto that date. (Feb 08)
A generic picture.
The circlip and plate would be classified as part of the cylinder body

Thanks Don, that explains it - mine is Sept 09 registered - so mine would have the flat plate NOT the knurled ****.
I'll pop off the plate and see if it's a leaky gasket, ( or if there is a service kit available ) or else it's a full cylinder!!!

Fair shout rob ,, that's next on my list ,, borrowed one for my wedding day of the main dealer that sponsors me ,, loved it so much I traded my hawk in a week later for the hatch as couldn't afford a brand new one so close after the wedding so I'll keep the hatch for a couple of years and then buy one ,,, loved the black but grey looks nice aswell but the gadgets are what sold it to me lol

Nice choice Rob, I thought you wouldn't stray too far from the fold.
Somebody will get a very nice car when they purchase your white Hatchback STi.

Hi Dude I took some pics yesterday for you not the best quality pics but you can see that its held up at least for one month in the snowy icy salty Originally Posted by Benji554

conditions FYI I'm pretty sure the construction is not 100% carbon fibre I think its mostly FRP with a couple of layers of weave on top, I wasn't bothered as I am going to get the whole car wrapped anyway but I wanted to get a spoiler first and didn't want to run a primer grey one so opted for the carbon I think it will hold up just fine there seems to be plenty of gel coat on it.

As you can see no cracks or spiderwebs or even ghosting of the lacquer. Doesn't pinch on the hinge either.
