08/09 Hatches, Stand up and show yourselves!!!
Hi Dude I took some pics yesterday for you not the best quality pics but you can see that its held up at least for one month in the snowy icy salty
conditions FYI I'm pretty sure the construction is not 100% carbon fibre I think its mostly FRP with a couple of layers of weave on top, I wasn't bothered as I am going to get the whole car wrapped anyway but I wanted to get a spoiler first and didn't want to run a primer grey one so opted for the carbon I think it will hold up just fine there seems to be plenty of gel coat on it.

As you can see no cracks or spiderwebs or even ghosting of the lacquer. Doesn't pinch on the hinge either.

have a look at what www.ScoobyClinic.com can do as a package, air filter, zorst and re map, also Rolling Road too.
Got this the other day, Thanks Rob @ Stan Palmer.

Removing old clutch master cylinder easy, hardest bit being upside down under dash trying left handed to remove the spring pin from the clutch pedal to cylinder connection!
Right pig to get the slave cylinder off - access to the 2 bolts under it to the gearbox restricted, couldn't get ratchet ring spanner or open end on bolt head, nor ring spanner as gearbox web by head in way, and socket no use as starter motor in way!
Bottom bolt on starter very awkward, at least when cracked off it was finger tight.
2 hours to get slave cylinder of!!
Once this lot all done, bleeding a few minutes and bolt all back up another 20 mins.
Back on the road all fine now!
Cheers for the help guys.

This looks like the earlier ( to feb 2008 ) master cylinder as per the diags way up there, as it has the big **** under the reservoir, which is apparently a clutch damper to smooth the sudden force of dropping the clutch.
My 2009 one didn't have this - again as per pics above.

Not by us I may add
but it was considerably discounted If neil mentioned earlier it had been modified by alyn then it must have originally had a damper fitted ???
Either way could be modified again or just left as is to save future leaking issues
Yep, Fitted fine!
Yes Don, Rob said it was Dead Stock.
Was well discounted tho 'cos of it!

Yeah, had to be ordered in, quick though!
Alyn said the removal of the damper was at the gearbox end, so I have no idea !!!!
Cheers

Those wide arches look bloody awful, if they start becoming the norm then it'll be time to burn my car.
Why not plaster your car in Mongster stickers whilst you're at it?
