Is this the cheapest I'll find or does anyone know where I can get one cheaper?

www.japanparts.com is a good place to browse through. When searching on eBay use multiple searches like "hatch sti" or "impreza 2008" as I find parts listed as all sorts.

The downside of having a rarish car is lack of supporting mods.

I find myself just typing in "subaru" and scrolling through hundreds of wipers and LED bulbs ! I'm not in the market for buying anything but i like filling my "watch list" just incase the opertunity should arise !

I could do with some advice please? My missus just phoned me to say the car started and is driving normally but every light on the dash is flashing! Any ideas? Sounds like some electrical issue?!

I guess I need to visit the 'main stealer' for a diagnostic?

Or just buy a cheap obd2 scanner and look it up yourself ,, the simplest of things can get all the lights flashing so could be something simple , fingers crossed for you

I just found Rob84's guide how to display fault codes by pressing the trip meter and headlights. It tells me it's a fault P0327 - low input knock sensor. Is that a simple sensor swap?

Has the car been washed recently? - could be just water around the sensor.

Had this not so long ago, reset the CEL and it's not been back since.

Easy enough to change the sensor if needed.

Code Reader..
Cheap and cheerful but does the job..........

Thanks Don.
No I haven't washed the car but we had torrential rain 2 nights ago although car was fine yesterday. Apparently it's reset itself now (after 5 stop/starts). 70 quid part on ICP. Do I change it as a precaution or just leave it be?

In the post as of 15mins ago.

Go on YouTube and search for Premium Auto Styling to watch their fitting guide.

Don't over do it with the hair dryer!

I'm sure the Knock sensor is activated when the car detects detonation. And backs off the timing so to not cause any damage. Could you of put normal petrol in instead of vpower?
Has your engine been Forged or standard?
Correct me if I'm wrong but a fault showing knock sensor doesn't necessarily mean that sensor is at fault. It can also mean it detected a fault?
I say this as I'm sure mine threw up this fault when detonation was detected.

The fault according to google is low input (voltage) to the knock sensor not knock detected. Haven't filled up for a week and only use momentum or v power. Car is forged and remapped accordingly. It's reset itself now and not happened since but I'm getting it checked tomorrow just to be safe. Cheers
