I can't really find a definitive answer to this but is the removal of the secondary air pump along the same lines as on the newage 2.5 engines?
What I mean by that is the use of RCM or Cosworth blanking plates and the 'mapping' out of any error codes upon remapping.
Is this possible or not?

Yes.
Can only speak for the Hatch 2.5, but mine went noisy, and then was taken off and blanked at rear air feeds, and the error codes in ECU disabled.
Think mine was blanked off by tapping the block and screwing in plugs, since it was out of the car!

Well I picked up some more goodies today for the car, one being a rear waist level spoiler which will be painted in body colour to keep it subtle.
Plus whilst at my local dealer I also picked up a set of GT2 wheels in silver, these are going to be repainted in gloss black which I am hoping will really work well with the WR blue.
I did have a set of GT2 wheels in anthracite, but I did sniffmydiff a favour as he wanted anthracite wheels and as my wheels were being repainted anyway it made no real difference to me other than saving Geraint the price of getting a set of wheels painted. The anthracite is now out of stock with Subaru and no more stock looking like it will become available.
If someone could PS the above image to show a WR blue car with glossy black wheels then that would be great.
My order for the Whiteline KDT902 bush kit from Litchfield Imports got cancelled due to them having no stock, so I ordered a set from Indigo GT for the very reasonable price of £40.83 and as I will collect there will be no delivery charge either.

There was very little choice on the newage and classic models, the GR's can be tailored to suit virtually any taste.
