Thanks for the code, I have sent it to JP and asked them to quote it on the shipping label and documents, it should speed the whole process up.

Like I have said I am not against bonding items on but I don't like just bonding anything onto a car alone, if the vehicle manufacturer uses a combination of fasteners and bonding agent then they do it for a very good reason.

I do like the Blitz Nur Spec R, I know they aren't to everyone's taste as they can be a 'tad' loud but if you can put up with it then they're a great sounding system when giving it the beans.

I found that when I had it fitted to my now gone 22B that it encouraged me to drive a little slower as quite frankly I couldn't drive everywhere with the exhaust booming all the time, great when you want the noise but not so much when just pootling around.

I was getting far better MPG as a byproduct though so it was a win win all round really.

Although I've not had the time to look at every post on this thread I just want to say how many great cars there are on this thread, they've given me lots of ideas - some of which I've already acted upon and others for later on in ownership.

Plus I'm genuinely surprised how many genuine STi modifications are available for the GR cars as well, Subaru certainly cater far better for the newer ranges than they ever did for the GC or GD series of cars.

Cheers

Yes I'm running Dmack DMT-RC wrc W1 tyres.
Heavy Rain like that and they arnt the best choice in tyre as they cant displace the water out of the tread cut fast enough, It's sorta like floating. In hindsight I should have opted for the DMT3 tread cut.

The last 2 weeks of hot sunny weather these Have been Epic for grip quality

Evening all, after some info.

I'm looking for the dealer that sells the red inlays for the rear light clusters. Not sure but seem to remember they are US based? How tough are they to fit also?

Lastly does anyone know a rough cost for a new front bumper unit, could possibly be interested in a facelift version if its a direct fit? An idea of price would be good to

Thanks in advance.

Just back from Cornwall, couple of weeks down there with the family, my Hatch was spot on throughout the trip even when sitting completely stopped on the M5 time and again in traffic. It was my first long drive since I drove it home up to Cumbria and even fully loaded with suitcases etc it shifted when required.

I was crawling it through Padstow one day looking for parking and a policeman who was walking along pulled me over, told me my H&S exhaust was illegal. Couldn't be bothered arguing with him so played dumb and he let me go after seeing the kids in the back. What's the score with noise levels these days???

Anyway, here's a low quality phone pic I took whilst down there.

Yes mate they are 4", its a cat back system i have also put a decat downpipe on and to be honest its not that loud nothing like the older Blitz systems. My wife drives it daily without complaining she hated the the noise our classic used to make.

The car is not mapped yet but is booked in with Bob Rawle this month i have just finished running in the forged pistons, its also got a Cosworth induction kit, perrin intake pipe, forge recirculating D.V all recently fitted and in a fortnight it is getting a VF43, grimspeed 3 port boost solenoid and a FMIC fitted i am hoping for 370ish BHP. Oh and tomorrow i am doing a front and back black brembo caliper conversion using Godspeed discs and pads.

Once that lot is done i will do some more body mods, and maybe a carbon roof wrap.

Clyne can you let me know how the brakes are when you you fit them the brakes on mine are shocking and before I go down the power route I need to sort the brakes and suspension. I know Ian godney as he's just down the road from me and he's always top notch but I'm not sure on the callipers and weather to go k sport but I'm worried that the alloys will need changing. Love the list of mods exactly what I'd love to do but as it's supposed to be my misses car I'm not allowed to mod it but brakes and suspension are safety.

John.
Loving the pics john glad you had a good trip to sunny Cornwall shame you didn't see many hatches I go down there all the time for work and see loads but can't wave as I'm in my work car. The pic looks like you could be in Cyprus looks lovely. Next you go you should go via Wales well give you a few scoobs to look on some amazing roads and tbh there's some good drivers here aswell. I'm in the new forest Hampshire this week but again not in the scoob and I've seen loads of Sti hatches I'm dying to wave but they may think I'm a wierdo so best not my misses goes mad. So if you see a women driving a hatch wrx and she doesn't wave it's prob my misses grumpy cow. Lol

Ebay but for some reason the rears are more expensive than the fronts and are a bit harder to find. Probably the STI owners only upgrading the fronts and keeping their rears.

Hi Jamie do the Tarox pads give off loads of brake dust though I'm fed up of having to clean the wheels and my old tsi type r had them and they were the same and also liked to get some heat in them to max the use

Yea I can see that, if you find any could you let me know I'd like the backs done aswell because I'd like the balance right but if I can only find the fronts ill do them and Ian to do me some up rated rears with my callipers. Thanks clyne your a star let me know how they are and pics I'm watching your car with interest.
