Seriously considering getting some after sliding around more than expected today.

235/45R17 94V Nokians are ideal

Thank you for the replies, I've bought a set of 235 45 17 Nangkang sv-2 and had them fitted to a spare set of original 17inch wheels I had. This is my first experience of snow tyres and I'm seriously impressed!

I had near to zero grip last night with the 18 inch 330s wheels and Dunlop rubber. Now it just goes and stops as if there is nothing on the ground.

exhaust guys.

im on budget, the milteck system is nice buts very expensive for a turbo back system (decat) as is the H+S system altho slightly better priced than the milteck i think, is the H+S a 3" too? the scorpian is again a bit cheaper but i think its only 2.75"?

i have seen some cheaper kit on ebay from japspeed, are these any good? and what size are they as i cant see anywhere what it says, i think 2.5" would be to narrow, whats the best option on the sti 2.75 or 3"? i assume 3".

what do you guys recomend? save up for a H+S or milteck?

what size is the prodrive kit BTW as a second hand system would be cheap for me and you get the odd one come up, as you do the H+S as i missed one last week.

thanks guys

i had seen that GB, just depends what the total cost will be, dont want to overspend modding this car, the cheaper i can achive the end goal the less i lose when i sell up, that why id ideally like second hand parts.

will have to add up the costs of the H+S GB

Buy it in the GB and take off when you sell and recoup some of your cash, should get 50%/60% back atleast of the original cost, think I paid a good £200 for a second hand ppp box.

Pop Ian a call at h&s or message him on here and he'll let you know what he can do for you both in and out if the GB.

speak to Pete at Exhausts UK
http://www.cobrasport.com/exhaust/Su...8-10%29/31/0/0
he has a Sti, they can make you what ever tail pipes you want.
You're only at Staffs, so a trip to Sheffield, while its being fitted you can go shopping at Meadow Hall

What's your ideal budget mate? The Hayward and Scott kit is great so would spend the extra if it was me. The issue you will have is the hatch has not been that popular so it's not often that second hand after market parts come up so it may take a while but best of luck

That's spot on mate, could be interested in one of these although I need to stop looking at piston heads as I've come across a couple of new saloons that have caught eye lol

That's the BasonR one I had on my old hatch, nice size and a little more aggressive than the standard STI one, I've had two from America, the STI rep was good and the finish was spot on, this I was pretty disappointed as it had quite a few moulding marks and the colour was patchy, I had to wet and dry it smooth and follow with a coat of plastidip, end result was really good but a bit of hassle.
