Hi guys,

I'm selling a pair of ProDrive GT1's of my Subaru Sti. They are gold with not one mark and about 6mm tread on all tyres. If anyone is interested give me a shout.

My number is 07795150006
I'm based in Scotland

Also what oil should I be putting in my standard 300bhp sti?
I have a full bottle of 0W-40 in my garage could I use this

Cheers

I'm just kind of looking for offers the now man as personally I don't like them that much. The tyres are sports budgets. Forgot the make as I've only had the car 2 days. I can check tomorrow. Had plenty of tyres and they handle plenty well though. Worst I have ever had were linglongs. Terrible.

So 10w40? Is that what you put in your car mate?

If I was to get the AEM cold air feed and an exhaust will I need to map my car?

If so I might get a panel filter? What seems to be the most popular one?

Sorry for all the questions, I have just turned 21 and not to clued up on these subarus ha!

Cheers

yes it would need re mapping

cant really go wrong with k & n but doubt there would be any performance gains.

Got Subaru Impreza WRX STI in WR Blue, absolute love it.
Insurance was only £688 which I find hard to believe. Only have 2 years no claims too. K&N panel filter sound good? Do you get the recurclation noise?

Cheers

£688 with 2 years nc, wtf!!! im 29 and just renewed at £704 with 4 yrs nc bonus. only difference is a claim i had 4 yrs ago. nasty accident that wasn't my fault....nearly died due to some old w**ker not looking. as for the recirc noise, i couldn't say as i haven't got one. buying a load of stuff to get fitted then get it mapped all at once.

I use Gulf competition 10w60 fully synthetic oil.

if you feed an exhaust and aem kit you will need to map it. if you fit a panel filter get a pro-r one or a k&n

Locking the diff more doesn't put more torque to the rear, it tightens up the connection from front to back. More lock means it is harder to turn, and in tighter turns, especially parking etc. it will make a noise and the car "jumps" as the diff overcomes the lock.

I find locking centre diff causes more understeer as the rear pushes the front onwards... try it in snow!
Great traction but can't steer on manual 6 !!
So i guess thats the noise i hear reversing off the drive then? Like a knock and a jump, i do a reverse tight left through 180deg to get off my drive i sometimes notice it.

Call me stupid by all means but Gary and km have always done right by me (will see come renew time considering the posts above) so I would stay put as a loyalty to Moley and the lower xs
