I've changed the offside rear fog light for a clear version from Revolution on my wife's 2008 WRX hatch. I fitted a cheap red LED bulb but it's nowhere near bright enough for a fog light.

Any suggestions of a decent, bright, red LED or Silvatec-type bulb that will do a proper job?

I've had them for a few months and they really are as good as the pictures would suggest!

He sells them in pairs so what you want to order is 1 x White with Spot Lens (for your rev light) and 1 x Red with Astigmatism Lens (for your fog light).

The Astigmatism Lens acts as a diffuser so you don't get the very focused beam of the Spot Lens - perfect for fog light. The red is actually red and brighter than the brake lights.

The white with Spot Lens is pretty much like a camera flash in intensity, but constant. Unlike the OEM rev light, you can actually see where you're going in reverse!
Have ordered a pair, one red and one white - many thanks for the suggestion

Any of you guys (Especially Neil) know of any good bright sidelight bulbs
The LED's don't seem to fit quite as good or as snug as the OEM sidelights.

Got a set of Manifold spacers which I forgot to return to scoobyclinic, cost me £100 new and they are still unopened. Will take £80 delivered for them.

Glad to hear you're happy with them guys - it's always a bit of a worry when people shell out on your recommendations.

Just need to find a solution to the sidelights issue now. Came across something a bit interesting the other day but not saying any more 'til I've done some further research.

Cheers, Neil

Keep us posted
Problems I have with the LED sides is that they don't fit quite right in the connector

Cheers

Hey guys

Brake upgrades keeping the Brembo callipers...

What have you done ? What improvements ? How much ? Marks out of ten - honestly

Please

Thanks. A

PS just had a new clutch and fly fitted at Enginetuner - top service as ever. They have yet another broken hatch coming in tomorrow at 16 k with piston / ring lands failure. Subaru UK kindly quoted him £8.5k for new block and rebuild.... They must really think their customers are ......

Performance Friction Discs/bells with Z pads would say 10/10 as by far the best upgrade for Brembos. Expensive but worth it

Another Hatch FFS!

Hi guys, urgent help required please:

I've just fitted a stereo in my 2008 STI, however I accidentally touched positive (yellow wire) with the stereo which was earthed... So I've blown a fuse somewhere.... Can anyone point me in the right direction as to which fuse it is and it's location?

At the mo, the stereo stopped working as has the alarm fob and electrics... That is until I switch the ignition on.*

Try under steering wheel. Right game side is a pull down flap that has the rush button key pad. I think some fuses are in there.

Thanks for the reply

It was a 25A one under the bonnet. I went round and checked them all and missed that one the first time! *

Default Winter tyres

I need a set of Winter tyres for the hatch.

Toyo 953s seem good value at about £100 per corner, but my experience on other cars is that the sidewalls on Toyo T1R tyre are very flexible, not what I want on the hatch.

I really cannot afford going to £200 per corner for the like of Michelin Pilot Alpins.

Nokian WR A3 seem like a good middle of the road option at about £140, only problem who supplies and fits them, I don't want to buy online and then have to find a tyres fitter.

What winter tyres have you guys tried on your hatches and what do you recommend?

I am looking for 245/45x17

I am in Lincolnshire but will to go anywhere in the East Midlands to find a decent fitter with the right tyres.

Thanks
