A few reasons to get a new one.
  • Recaros
  • keyless entry, having had cars with folding keys for the last 10 or more years I thought car keys wearing a hole in trouser pockets was over.
  • 18" rims
  • Better engine map
  • Heater mirrors and wipers
  • 3 more years of warranty
  • Buy from dealer who knows how to properly PDI a car before delivery
  • My choice of colour

Only downside, how do I tell the Mrs I want to replace the STi I unexpected bought two years ago, with another car in her eyes identical except for the colour?

Bluetooth is std. It's ok ish. Tends to drop out on certain iPhones though,

Stand corrected on the heated mirrors. Seems some had. Some didn't which was odd

Long time since I posted in this thread, but Operation Stealth has started Will post pics up later

I think this is more directed at Rob than anyone else, but someone may know. Int he boot under the foam inserts there is a connector plug. Whats this designated for and does it have a 12v switched line to it? Or is there another 12v switched line I could take a tap off?

Reason for asking is I want to put a 12v line to a socket in the boot for a electric cool box for camping trips. With the current they draw it must be switched incase I forget to turn the damn thing off, or the battery won't last long.

Simon,

Always useful to supply car info in your signature or profile.

Assuming it's a Impreza Diesel Hatch, have emailed you.

Connector, depending upon where you found it, is probably the Trailer connector..........

Hi Don, your a star! You also assumed correctly If the rain holds off I will have another look, but I am assuming at this point it is the trailer connector too, which means I'm looking at pins 7 and 8 and block R79.

R79 trailer connector

This is the list of connections from the diags I sent........

Pin
1. not found (so far), maybe not connected??
2. Rear lights
3. Turn signal LH return
4. Turn signal RH return
5. Rear Fog light
6. Earth
7. Earth
8. Stop Light
9. Backup (reversing) light
10. Turn signal supply

You may actually be better off taking a feed from the centre console power socket (in the cubby hole between seats) as it will have a higher rating, and is ACC power controlled.

Additional circuit sent..........

Hi Guys,

I've decided to put my Prodrive GC-010E Forged Monoblocks up for sale to free up some funds for another project.

Specs are 18 x 8.5, ET50, PCD 114.3, British Gold. The wheels are brand new and never been on a car, although they have had tyres fitted. Tyres will be removed prior to shipping unless anybody wants them for an additional £500 (Michelin Pilot Super Sport 245/40R18). Also includes the original Prodrive valves/valve caps, the billet spigot rings and the centre caps - centre caps are black anodised billet with carbon 'Prodrive' inlay.

The wheels are manufactured by Rays Engineering in Japan and being forged are light and very strong. They've never been available in the UK in this colour and were a special order from Japan (just don't ask how much they cost me!).

I also have a good used set of Bridgestone RE-01R's in 235/40R18 (6mm tread, no punctures/repairs) that could be fitted to the wheels prior to shipping - price on these tyres to be discussed. The RE-01R's are an awesome fast road tyre.

Asking £1200 for the wheels without tyres.

Cheers, Neil

Personally I think the price is spot on, I sold the sister set of these wheels in February £1000 and they had been used with knackered tyres.

Thanks for that Rob. I suspect that most people just don't realize how expensive top drawer Jap market wheels are.

Incidentally, having seen the tyres that were on your wheels when you sold them I would have to say 'knackered' is a massive understatement!

Not of my actual wheels no, they've never been fitted to anything.

Have found a couple of pics on one of the US forums, same wheel, same colour and they're even on a red 08 STi.

Feel free to call me biased but IMHO that looks the dogs bollox!!!

Is anyone after a Zunsport lower grille? I have a used one for sale in Black. The Zunsport badge has been removed so you'd need to buy another badge off Ebay (lots of choice). I'm after £50 + postage.
