They are supplied in Silver as standard but are special order black for £15 more so set me back £160 for top and bottom and had free postage. Its actually cheaper if you get it from ebay rather than direct from zun, funny thing is the ebay guys just process the order and its dispatched direct from zun. I had about a 3 week wait for mine as the black grilles were awaiting coating but guess as I have mine now they should have some in stock.
Search 'zunsport impreza grille' on ebay and there is only one company selling them, who also sell sunbeads!!!
They are not actually painted its a sort of rubber coating which looks really good and will not chip! Instructiosn reckon you can fit without taking the bumper off but I'd say the time its takes to whip it off its well worth doing so.
Face on Pic for those who need any more convining.

PIAA's look brill
i'm waiting for the correct lower splitter fixings then i will be removing the bumper to do my PIAA's, fit the painted grille which has finally been found by the royal mail, fit the lower lip and think i'll get one of the grilles , i think i'd remove the zunsport badge

My plan was also to remove the zunsport badge but looks like a plate it is welded to the mesh prior to coating so cannot be removed without damaging the mesh. Only idea I had was to peal the zun badge off and put a sticker or something in its place that is darker so more descreet.
As for the PIAA's, very nearly got rid as liked the look of the red Supertones but keep hearing stories they are all show and o go!

I will post up some before and after pics after they have been fitted (they will be on the car for the UK hatch meet on the 5th September).
Give Ian at Litchfields a ring mate, he can get hold of them for a good price

have been on holiday in the cotswolds this week
stopped on a B road and took a quick snap
back home now and decided to try something with the bumper vent, I mocked up an infill with black gloss vinyl
i quite like it so next week when i'm back at work I'm gonna make up some proper matte black vinyl ones

Video of my STi @ Bedford
Did the EVO Trackday at Bedford Autodrome on Friday.
Despite the track being very flat and a bit featureless, you've got to love the the 1km back straight and the S bend after it. Car was hitting an indicated 135 before the braking zone.
This was my shake down test, in that the car is still stock, as I wanted to find out what I needed to change having sampled it a near the limits.
Understeer is what I found, playing with the central dif and trail braking got the back end a bit more mobile, but I'd like to be able to point it a bit more on the throttle. Hopefully the Litchfield Handling pack will sort this out.
I only wanted more power once, when trying to out drag a BMW M3 CSL, but I did want a bot more engine noise, so the PPP kit will be going on sometime soon.
Stock brakes lasted very well - I did 5 lap stints and they started to grumble a bit, but never faded.
I was running Toyo R888s and these were great, but a little limiting in the wet (I'll post a vid of my (ahem) wet weather testing shortly).
Meantime here's a couple of links to some onboard footage
Two laps

First Lap
YouTube - STi bedfordGT
And as ever, don't forget 5th September is the meet at Litchfield - still time to sign up and there is still some space on the ramps if you fancy adding some bits to your car.
Cheers

Another Bedford Vid
Second lap - bit of a tussle with a Beemer down the back straight that meant I had to back off a bit.

Nice one Winmoz, looks like you had fun there I'm quite jealous.....
I bet you cant wait to see what the difference is like with the handling pack
you wont be disappointed!!!!! It'll be twice as quick round those bends and you'll feel confident with it too. Are you getting the ALK fitted as well?

Oh yes
The Handling pack includes the ALK making it a bit of a bargain - so much so that I'm going to get Iain to supply and fit a Carbon front splitter while he's at it!
I now need to book another trackday so I can test the changes! Am thinking Goodwood next.
Roll on the 5th of September.
Cheers

Looking to buy a scooby very soon and never considered the hatchback.
Had enough coming from a CTR, but I have to say there are certainly loads of very lush looking ones here.
Especially in white.
Giving me seconds thoughts now whether to go for a 55-plate wrx or just blow my budget and get an 09 wrx, seen some good deals on new euro imports.

Is that beep, beep, beep the rev limiter warning, and if so how do you get it to make a noise (I currently have the warning light only)
Cheers, D
p.s. you will love the handling pack, but then you will want the brake upgrade, and then the PPP, and then a proper complete exhaust system and a bespoke re-map and then...
See you on the 5th mate

Cheers, that clip is for a turbo back rather than cat back, I spoke with Milltek last week and they said it would certainly be quieter as a cat back, anyone comment on this who has one, sure looks nice though.
I also spoke with Ian the other day and he said they are currently developing a new MY08 Milltek exhuast that should be a bit cheaper than the current one, its being redesigned and would be more universal so you can add to it with a decat later if needed, said he was hoping to have some more news on this in 4/6 weeks. IIRC the current one is 3" and std exhast is 2.5", they should not really meet up but do, his new system has something to do with that.

I have mine set at 5800 revs as this gives me enough time to grab another gear before hitting the limiter in the lower gears.
|Can't wait for the 5th - think the <ahem> conservatory fund may take a bit of a hammering
Cheers
