Thx Stan,

There's a pattern developing here, looks like non-illuminating window lock button is the norm.

08 S-GT no illumination on lock button, the one button that should be light is the folding mirror one, always struggle to find that in the dark.

Any one else tried the gauges on the sat nav display via the OBD 2 socket / wifi / Iphone ( itouch ) ? ( page 7 of this thread ).

Where does the OBD socket live in the hatch cars??

Is there any other way to get similar ECU parameters onto the screen?

And how is the pin 4 grounded - head unit out? ( or does disabling the switch on the handbrake do the job of allowing screen to be on in motion? )

Looks fabulous. The red grill trim is excellent - how did you do that ?
Hard work isn't it !
Been trying to de-swirl mine and reduce some of the stone damage using a variable speed polisher and "Ultrafina deswirl and hologram remover" (!). Doing a panel or 2 at a time then polishing with Autoglym polish (x2) + extra coat stuff. Then driving it and getting it dirty again
Worth it though.

the red part in the grille is just a roll of red pin stripe that you can buy from halfords, copied the idea from iwsti.com.

well pleased with the results, Had a couple of swirl marks on the bonnet from new which really bugged me tbh so impressed that i have now got rid of them

So next obvious question is
What is the best way to put it on ?
If I don't waste too much, I could sell the rest on e-bay ...........

just peel the backing off a little and stick it on as close to the grille as you can and just gently keep pulling the backing off and sticking it down right on the edge, that worked for me best in the end.

Ha! I spent 10mins trying to stick the stripe to the mesh on the grille!!Der!! Sussed it in the end tho, only takes 2mins. Then you have loads of stripe left and start thinking what else can i put a stripe on!!
My daughter had to tell me to sod off, she dont want a red pinstripe on her Fiesta!!

Default Red stripe

Doesn't the red grill stripe make it look like a Golf GTi ???

Silverdemon:
Good feedback on insurance - mine is due next month and was going to ask them for a quote - so I won't ring them ! At the end of the day, you want fast efficient service - like they want their premiums paid fast and efficiently !!

Default Mods and ....

Those with mods - suspension, air intake, downpipes etc..... how are you sorted with the Subaru 3 year warranty and also insurance???

Possibly not ideal to post on here in case their spies are watching......

My dealer stated that if any unapproved part is fitted it voids the warranty for the whole assembly, e.g. an air filter kit or decat affects the whole engine or anti roll bars the whole suspension including the frail dampers ....

Lee,

Have you moved the STi logo on your mesh grill ... it's on the opposite side of Rob's and my option grill & std grills!
