Oh, and +1 on red tail light overlays please Iain
I notice you have the same colour as mine and I can't make up my mind whether the red overlays would improve the colour or just go clear on both sides. Have you seen any examples with this colour?

It's a date Yeh thats all good for me!!

I have just done my rear ARB and and put on the mount brace bars.
I have the positive traction kit to do but was waiting till I was closer to getting the four wheel alignment.

I am considering lowering springs - would be interested in a group buy price if applicable (only a small drop) and fitting.
I was thinking of getting the cosworth panel filter.
Revised steering feel - deffo
Would be interested in the Anti lift kit (powerflex) and fitting.
Four wheel laser alignment.

Default Tail light overlays

I think riggedSTI gets about a bit....

blue bat's tail light overlay - IWSTI.com: Subaru WRX STI Forums

Follow the link on page 1 of the thread to BlueBat's photobucket site for more colours - he will sell you some from the US, but I guess Iain Litchfield does also?

Can't make my mind up between red with cut-outs or smoked...

Got a set from Bulebat but when fitted were found to be undersized, got a local tinting guy to source the film and reapply but still not perfect. I think having a cutout in the middle makes it easier to stretch but a single whole sheet is more of a problem to avoid creases around the edges, tailgate overlays are fine, its the outer lense overlays which are the problem.

Still not sure. Quite like Rob's 'blanked' look just not sure if the red cut-outs will suit black / dark grey. I like the contrast the lights give at the rear when in clear / white as it breaks up the colour a bit when the car is a dark colour hence not sure about the smoked either. The link you sent above shows the smoked which does emphasize the main rear leds quite well.

Default Handling Pack

Not sure as will depend on how many people commit to spending money on the day, but when I spoke to Iain he was thinking 10-15% discount might be do-able (that could mean that the £765 handling pack could be on my car for aroundd £650 .

Iain is also going to put some prices together for some popular bits and bobs (strut braces, light overlayes etc) so wathc this space.

Cheers

Mobius - just had my AST suspension lowered and it makes it look much better. Also has made the ride less harsh (contrary to my expectations) - apparently the spring length is increased when its lowered ! (I haven't worked out how ???)
Ride height is now the same as Iain's - 650mm (ish) from road to top of metal bit of wheel arch (a few mm higher on front o/s to allow for settling when the driver is in ! - happened by accident rather than design !). Recommend the AST's

Sorry to change the subject but keep meaning to ask about Orange Peel Paint. I was looking at the RS Focus as an alternative but one of the issues that put me off was the reports of the orange peel paint and then when I got to see one and saw how bad it was it nailed the coffin. However I have noticed with my Hatch that it too has some orange peel, it's dark grey. Has anyone else noticed this on theirs would any particular colour be worse than another? It was concluded on the RS that it was associated with the new 'water' based paints and that BMW, Mercs etc were just as bad.

Hmmmm, just measured mine, on AST's its 670mm however also measured the height to the top of the tyre.....635mm, you must have the tyre tucked up in the wheel arch at 615mm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I wouldn't say it was as bad as the Focus but it is there. I'll try and take some photos if I get chance. Mobius says he has noticed a bit but you do have to look. The most noticeable was the rear below the fixed windows.

I've got a set of Harmen Auto dark tints sat in my boot... went to local tint man who wanted £100 to fit em..and he mentioned they looked a tad on the small side too...but thought they'd stretch under heating.

(I'm swaying back to a red tint solution, so if anyone wants my dark smoke them pm me.)

Try LaminX mate (©Lamin-X.co.uk™ Vehicle headlight, fog lamp, spot light tinting, ventureshield 3m paint protection film for cars, motorcycles), about £25 for enough do the rears in the red Maserati style, need to re-do mine with a heat gun, but the first attempt looks ok for now:

615mm measured from floor to the lip on the rear arch, allmost certain its that i will double check again my tyres are just a say level with the arch maybe slightly inside the arch if that makes sence lol
