What sort of money are they?

Give Alyn a call chap, my kit was bespoke and I know he wanted to finalise a few details before offering for sale as a complete kit. They will not be mega money though and you have the option of using standard discs if you don't want the alloy bells too.

And on to today's efforts; Tim did not get to mine till gone 2pm as he had to time up at Zen this am and it took him a while to get perfect.

Still we cracked on until 8pm, lots of little jobs needed sorting like bending the turbo oil drain to miss the bracket on the rotated kit etc. All these things take so much longer than you plan for. I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking to where we got to, Tim is back Thursday to connect everything up as I have to go to work

Little Paul try to get header faces clean and flat

Tim using his knees as a vice making a new throttle body bracket, he did not like my bent steel effort from before

And that's as far as we got today

Awesome day when you end up with the engine in the bay

Good work mate (and Tim / Paul) - you deserve a beer (or two)

Very true, hopefully it will be running Thursday. Once all done I need to call Paul for some remote Syvecs help to change a setting before we can get it running Will have to get some tuition on the Syvecs stuff at some stage

Well it lives ! Tim spent all day on the car today finishing things off as I had to work, top man he has tidied everything up with wiring etc. When I got home at 530 all was together with just the exhaust downpipe and system to fit, fill fluids etc. before getting to priming.

I called Paul after connecting up with the laptop to change a setting on the Syvecs and then it was out with the plugs and turned over for a good while until we got 2 bar oil pressure.

Then I reconnected fuel pumps and and after a few turns it fired Very lumpy at first but soon cleared.

No time tonight after to put wheels on and run so I will sort that Saturday before taking it out to start running in.

And Video

The 'Stephenson Exhaust' is a little loud though (although was in garage), Tim laughed when he saw the tiny size of rear silencer saying this is going to be very loud I will noise test at weekend and see.

I don't think there will be any need to ask how it went as I'm sure it will be below your user name

Okay so 50 miles on the running in oil this morning before changing to some mineral oil. Had to crank it for a while to get oil pressure, little battery could not cope so GT4 to the rescue Then a few more miles this PM.

I thought running in oil was a basic mineral blend, anyway?

Think the Millers stuff in synthetic actually. Still won't hurt 50 on that, 50+ on mineral then the good stuff & mapping

Little more running in tonight but it is hard work on the ears believe me, stripped car, loud exhaust and two 044's bolted in the boot (no fire wall yet).

My new extinguisher arrived today from dave-garrett on here, way better than the tiny one I have at present.

At least you can drive your car to get it run in Clive, mine is sat on the drive as my alarm appears to have a fault so I can't get the immobiliser switched off
