Mainly down to me not having time to strip it until a month ago. 4 dropped liners, block is going off to rcms for machining early in the new year. Will get machined for 14mm headstuds whilst there.
January is a no go month for me, due to tax returns, so told Steve end of Feb rather than fail to deliver on a promise.

I would imagine they will skim the block to head faces. This will take out the height difference between the dropped liners and the block thus giving a completely flat surface again.
all i can say its hats off to daz for the work he has put into his car,i hope when its all up and running that everything works out well for him.looking back now i wish i had done the same thing, bought and engine and took my time to build it myself, instead of taking it to some backstreat garage that knows nothing only how to take your money.atleast then if anything had gone wrong with it i would have only had myself to blame.
The next engine I need, I will *think* about building myself......... but under the careful eye of Mr Bulmer. Just because I would like to build it and learn really. Build threads always make for very interesting reads as well. Saying that though, when it comes to it I might just watch him do it instead.

Shaun, I can seriously recommend buidling an engine yourself. Providing you've got the right parts and the right tools. It's incredibly rewarding and for me it's an awesome way to escape the day to day sh*t, work and anything else that may be on your mind. I love the time i spend working on the car. Not to mention the feeling of self achievment when it fires up and actually works.
Plus there's the added bonus that you've saved massive amounts of cash by doing things yourself.
Coming together nicely now !!
Didn't seem long ago that you were pissed thinking your project was taking forever.
Compared to many current projects I would say your pace is better than most.
Glad you are well pleased with Zen's work regarding your block.
Can't wait to see this machine finished. This one should be awesome.
Will be worth the wait matey !!!!!!!
Fudge <-- looking forward to a side by side on the strip

Hey !! ............. I sit down and take the time to remit a post in this forum expressing my delight in your cars advancements to which I receive what can only be described as a postal reply written by typical Northern thing with the potential I.Q. of the common fruit bat.
I notice the other Northerner selects his words accordingly too. "scorching"
mmmmm
these N.K.W. (Northern Keyboard Warriors) may start receiving some good ol' Sarf London banter if things don't change.

Too bloody right, me northern ! Skull, go find the soap and wash your mouth out
My mates in the office would be in stitches if they saw that comment, good few guys from Leeds, Stoke, Wakefield, Liverpool etc. Daily banter is between the Peterborough locals and the 'northeners'
MAD Hammer = West Ham fan ! Nice northern team
