MadHammer: No launch control yet matey. I am a bit concerned about the starts at The Pod. Matt & Olly both told me that I will most certainly break front drive shafts on hard launches
I am looking forward to Sat 30th but will only be doing a couple of runs. If the d/shafts break I am furked as I will not be taking a trailer.
F1 CJE UK: Thanks mate. WIll keep you informed.
WRX Rich: The triple plate clutch is getting better. No problem in town or stop/start driving although I do get some funny looks from the plates rattling when I depress the clutch.
I saw your car at RCM and it looks really nice. Good luck with yours mate.
Sy: Will have the burger money in my pocket. I am not expecting to run any super times as the launch will be on my mind big time.
Wrighty 338: I am no millionaire mate, just work hard & play hard
Eureka: Why you not on the strip mate. I will not be doing any major launches, but just having a bit of fun with the guys. Your car would be good.
I know the car is not at 600bhp yet, if truth be known it's probably nearer 500 than 600 at the moment, but it is very quick.
I am getting more used to it as I have been taking it out when ever I can.
Longgggggggg gaps between me and the traffic in front are not much use anymore. Empty roads are what I need.
On boost I am finding I am getting somewhere else very quickly.
Luv it !!

Clive,
My shaft breaks have both been rears, I would think you would be pretty safe on the torque you will be running on a 2.0 tbh.
Launch control etc will have to wait for me too until after my wedding in September as I have to pay for that first and Solaris will have to come 2nd to the Mrs

I hope we all have an invite Clive (wedding).
You will have one mean line of Scoobz behind your wedding car
I will still take in easy on the launch. Olly & Matt said it would be a case of "they will break" opposed to "they may break".
Right guys, I know two 21yr old London pub dancers and have planned something. They will be attending the Pod this Saturday at 11:00am.
They will be smooching all over Sy, and during this distraction I will pour 2lb of sugar in his tank, Madhammer can severe his brake pipes, Marti can loosen the front wheels nuts and Steve wedge a melon up his exhaust
That should sort out Mr Friggen Ten Second

I have a good friend that is an "Evo" man. He has owned a 5,6, & 7 and currently has the Evo 10.
I just returned from giving him a bit of an insight to a "proper" fast car
When it kicked in he **** himself. His right hand grabbed the hand brake,
his left hand grabbed hold on his door handle and his legs and feet were doing the Elvis bit... his reaction was sooooo funny
I said that I would pop around on Sunday and take him out again, he replied "fukc that"

I will Rich. As I mentioned the car has not been designed to drag race. If I intended to drag race it would have Group N drive shafts, bigger turbo, different gearing, smaller brakes, different bonnet scoop, alternative gear box, different tyres, lighter wheels, race fuel set up, NOS kit, block mods, a small money compartment for the burger money (that would remain empty
), and would be stripped out.
), and would be stripped out.
