Only thing with looking at buying a 205, a very decent one with MI will be 2 to 3 K. MY99/00 Imprezas are close to that right now. Yes the 205 will be cheaper to run but if its a 2nd car cost isn't too big an issue.

Thing I've found is Scoobs will continue to depreciate at a faster rate than these. i wholly expect 205's to over take Scoobs eventually as they become rarer and Scoobs become more readily available. Maybe when a my99-00 is 20 years old and very few may be available, will their prices rise.

See your point, but one of the reasons I bought the 205 was the "oh, thats different, don't see these much any more" factor, balanced with readily available parts and a simple to work on car in general.

The same will happen with Imprezas. Imagine if only a quarter of scoobs were actually built - they'd command the same prices as Lancia Integrale - which are just bonkers even now.
