Not in the public sector, they haven't, and CERTAINLY not if you use any but the government's spun inflation figure
The stupid tw@ts still insist it's less than 4%, whreas everyone I know is paying nearly 20% more for the stuff we HAVE to have since last year. I can't think of many people's wages that went up by that much? Except maybe city traders/top bosses?

I was talking about the previous 11 years though.
I think it's a bit daft describing the inflation figures as spun, they are what they are, they are a measure of price changes across a wide range of goods and services. The inflation figures are an internationally recognised measure.
You are absolutely right of course, on many basic essentials prices have increased by at least the number you quoted.
But if we did have 20% inflation, god only knows how high interest rates would be right now!

oh no nothing wrong with that, but why not have free child places at nursery for everyone though.
Ask SJ Skyline who's having to work hard, to put my god daughter/son (twins ) throught nursery, I bet Richard and Anna would like the extra help on something like that. But the twins don't want to be put in some chav nursery with naughty kids!!
The money saved can then go for private school education for them
