thats cos i have skill
and dont rely on lpb and aimbots
still only 1 map i did that well with good team play with Matt and paul i think? village ?
other maps my usual lag / deaths behind walls...hence i went for a bit and had some food.

Urrrg it has screwed up my CS directory, it has deleted my cs.exe and gamespy can't launch it anymore
Reinstalling all of half life and CS grrrrr all because of bloody cheaters

thought it ran as a switch off hl.exe -game cstrike ???

When I get this fixed I want to play against the person who's idea it was to install the bladdy thing!
oh yeah what is the difference between a de map and a cs map?

I run retail.
I installed Alladin (oh yes I did) using the installer thingy and it produced a new shortcut on me desktop.
Dam, if you right click on the dt shortcut and choose "properties" it will have a "target" comand line, ie what it is trying to run. What does yours say?
You need to do -console and -noipx and all that good stuff after the target line to get console and so on.
Mine says D:/Sierra/Counter-strike/paladin.exe -console -noipx -nojoy -aimbot
It works fine.

Bloodyhell, when I left this thread at lunch time it was 1 page long, now we're closing in on a 5th page!.
After all these messages and Paladin gets binned
oh well. Still if Mike is putting something better server side then thats good enough for me. It's got to the stage where almost every time you go on the Rogue server you see someone cheating

I run CS retail too and have read in the readme guff when I installed paladin that you can alter gamespy to run your cs through Paladin for you, I havent personally as I installed Paladin around boxing day and never had to use it yet (when exactly was Paladin required on Rogue? I've not had to use it once
)
Oh and one other thing, I realise that Punkbuster is suppposedly dead too, what with not being updated and all but some servers still require it so I still run it, point being that if you run Paladin on a Punkbuster required server you will be banned for a violation #1004 if I remember rightly.
I think server side anti-cheat has to be the only way to go as anything that people install on their own box can be hacked not that any of us would but test-wise I mean.
Way to go Mike, cheers for all your efforts and generosity, it's so refreshing to play on the locked server where we're (virtually) guaranteed to be cheat free (*cough* ahem <Mike:Grav off,jump up to sneaky hiding place,Grav on,wait,shoot Deano in back of head from sneaky hiding place> ,had to laugh
