I'm surprised nobody has mentioned that you can retrofit lots of cool VAG parts into the Skabia.
There's a fantastic car with OEM Xenons near me that the owner has fitted full DVD nav, VW LED lighting, heated leather recaros, cruise, RS4 alloys, TT brakes and loads of other bits and bobs to. Running a hybrid turbo/uprated intercooler and NOS the car is making near 240bhp according to the owner and it looks fantastic. All for less than the price of a diesel Golf.

Mine has RS4 alloys, 176bhp, full Eibachs and it's great. I'll sell for 8K with the extras (alpine stereo and "stealth shelf") a bit less without.

It's a 'black magic' car and the steering wheel is on the 'wrong' side. It's a nice bit of kit though, especially the leather recaros which I think came out of a MKIV Golf. They really transform the car.
If it was mine next thing would be start swapping out all the shoddy feeling Skoda bits (like the grab handles) for better quality bits off Audis/VW's. Other than the seats the only thing I think lets the Skabia down is the quality of some of the plastics but it's no worse than a Polo I suppose.
