Company car tax?

Company car tax?
Im a director for a small Limited comapny aswell as my current job.
Im currently traveling 80 miles/day to work and My Golf VR6 is not the most frugal of cars.
I have been looking at getting a Skoda Fabia VRS because of the good reveiws, economy and I like the look of them
So would there be any benifits of buying it though my comany or is it best to buy it under my name?
I keep hearing the goverment give company's some kind of tax bonus on cars with a lower C02 output, what is this all about as I dont have a clue.
Also could I buy a year old model as I would not like to take the first hit of depreciation.
All advice is very welcome!

I think you need an accountant
the tax bonus for Euro4 compliant diesel cars will disappear end of 2005 though,i think,so better to get on the band wagon now, although there are not that many Euro 4 diesels about,Citreon 2 ltr,Audi 2 ltr amongst a few

Just ask your accountant for advice, however I suspect he will say theres little benefit in buying it though the company. If you lease one then it maybe worth it.
Skoda vRS sounds like a good choice, Ive heard nothing but praise for these. Never been in a VRS but my mum has a 1.4 Fabia and its excellent - very solid build, doors make a very convincing thud when shutting, and interior is just VW.
Fabia's are also bigger than you might think - almost identical in size to a Mk3 Golf!
