Volvo S60 R.................wow
Hi folk,
I yesterday came up against a volvo S60 R. He was drivin like a tosser n cut me up then sped off. i thought to myself i'll teach this guy a quick lesson but no no no!!! It was rapid. Im talkin Scooby rapid! Caught him @ some lights, where we had a quick nod & a laugh before goin again
there was basically nothin between us from 0-100+, i was astonished
The car was completely de-badged so i give it a quick serch when i got home to find out it was i S60 R. RAPID
I have a '99' Spec WRX 'PPP' import wagon.
P.S. obviously this was'nt only public roads

Why do you think the coppers have them
a lot of powerful big saloons will stay with and in some cases pass a Subaru when rolling, a Scoob is about as aerodynamic as a housebrick.
My old Audi A6 2.8 was easily a match for my Scoob once up to a certain speed despite being heavier and less powerful - i put this down to aerodynamics.

I used to enjoy my crappy old M reg 850 T5 as unsuspecting people such as yourself would find out to their cost just how ferocious they can be The one you raced was probably a lowly T5 as the S60R's are rare and not that many are tuned relative to T5 owners.......

I was brought up in Volvo's. I had a S40 T4 before I got my first Subaru, and on many occasions shocked the odd boy racer who did not take into consideration how quick the Volvo was.
The S60 R on the other hand is a real weapon, and can now be had for reasonable money. If i was to change my P1 for something more comfort orrientated I would choose an R over any BMW or AUDI

No surprise to me - used to have a T4 running 1.3bar by way of a Blitz EBC - once rolling not alot would get close 30-120+. Certainly not your average scoob!
Mind you - I've owned 7 scoobs in a row sonce then so I guess I still prefer them but do miss the stealth and comfort ofthe old Vulva.
