From: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?
As steven said, alternator didnt have a very good gnd due to powder coating, it then seems like the regulator in the alternator was fooked.. so swapped alternators and it seems ok. Took a bit of time to get onto the rollers, due to issues with another car not behaving itself. We then checked the car over and sorted idle, checked fluid levels etc.. engine sounds
RCMS have done a good job
Well recommended.

its getting finished for this stage tomorrow morning, going upto 70% of target.
its run a little over atmospheric, 3psi upto 4000 rpm so far, and managed 102bhp atw. both david and pat said it sounds sweet and sounds promising.
Bob, its identical to yours, PAR 1st and 2nd, PPG straight cut 3rd and 4th. You cant hear out because of the bloody fan, and it wasnt under any real load.

After going to all that effort titivating everything in sight cosmetically, I can't believe you've **** out on the final detail and put the SILVER wheels on and not the GOLD. I mean, if a job's worth doing.......................

LOL
Well what a day, a long day at that too!
Firstly, Massive thanks to:
David Wallis
Pat Herborn
Kevin and Andy @ Scoobyclinic for use of the rolling road, etc.
When we got there this morning, the car had just been removed from the dyno, so they could do some other cars. This allowed us to set the injectors up correctly, and change the oil after its first 60 miles which it did last night.
Anyway, long story shortened, the car went back on the rollers some time around 3pm i guess, and progress began. I left Andy to do the driving, Pat the mapping, and David to watch over things, as TBH i was a tad nervous.
I filmed a couple of things, but tried to occupy my anxiety by wandering around Scoobyclinic, so didnt get everything, just kept receiving texts saying figures it was doing, and texts for coffees etc.
Figures just kept coming, and getting better and better, and i could hear every run, and it kept sounding sweeter and sweeter.
After the post above, it did one more run, at 1.1bar, with fixed boost solenoid duty, so it would make the boost when it felt like it. The final run, before i was asked if i wanted to call it a day, was 363bhp ATW @ 1.1BAR, which equates to 460BHP at the flywheel.
Stunned is an understatement, and as david says, this is ONLY THE shakedown map, and is nowhere near the final map, so to get that i am well chuffed.
I drove the car home from the clinic, and in total the car has now covered roughly 260km(need speedo converter) with the new engine. I put my foot down once in 3rd gear coming off the A1 onto the M62, and f11ck me, did it go. Mark was flat out in his forester turbo, and i left him for dead.
