Bob Geldof is a ponce
He sold his company [Planet 24 TV] for about £12million - think he got half... I would therefore suggest his motives may be more honourable than some suggest here.
Now whilst he may be an irritating arrogant verbose overbearing 'ponce' [LOL] he's done a lot more than you or me to alliviate individuals' suffering. To me that more than makes up for his bad singing!!! Even though the solution hasnt been permanent he has made millions of people's lives better, so he deserves better than to be called the ponce that he actually is on here!!!!
Mind you he called his daughter 'Peaches' - what a ****! Let rip!!!

Failed musician? LOL, I wish I'd failed in my music as badly as him. Just because he'd done his bit before most of you could wipe your own *****. LOL, again.

I saw the Boomtown Rats at the Edinburgh Calais Palais
just before the first Band Aid single was released. Bob suddenly passed a big white bucket round the crowd and said something along the lines of:
This is the first time this song's been played live and I dunno if it'll work
Blah blah blah....Midge Ure....Blah blah blah
It's going to help the poorer starving ******* of the world, get your money out.

Near the end of the gig, Johnny Fingers starts giving it some on the keyboards and they nail Rat Trap. I'm down at the very front going mental and the fronting of the stage collapses. We are pushed underneath and are looking up as Bob continues doing his stuff....! After a quick check if we're ok and some weird dialogue going back and forward from underneath to above the stage...it carries on ......
In the next few weeks... his weird song suddenly makes sense

Chuffed to be a part of that night

It's sad to see one of your childhood heros making such a complete ***** of himself later on in life
PS Tonic for the Troops and The Fine Art of Surfacing are excellent albums that still sound fresh today........just a shame he's gone a bit
