I have it on good authority that Puff is so
obsessed with strut braces that he is putting
those two words in every sentence he says or
even types.

I'm even thinking of getting midge ure and
bob geldof out of retirment for brace aid 2000.

Getting back to some semblence of
seriousness I thought I read somewhere that
a strut brace was of minimal benefit for a
UK car(esp the 5 door). Are they?

Neil - a (front) strut brace makes more difference than you'd think. I fitted on to my MY99 and the difference was very noticable. Made as much difference as the Prodrive settings I had done 2 months earlier. Firmed up turn-in, eliminated all but extreme understeer, and generally firmed up feel.

Not bad for £30!!

Thumbs up

Strut brace was the first mod i did last year, Esparco red one... made the car feel 100 times better in a turn and stopped drift.
Ian

PS- My next goal is stickers..

So am I right in thinking that stickers will stop chassis flex in absence of a strut brace then?

Mike.

I have Sparco front and DIY rear on my UK MY98. With MRT front and rear links and Powerflex wishbone bushes work well. Stiff like an rally car.
