PS Floyd's old enough to remember seeing Patrick Troughton playing the Doctor, the first time it was aired

Or are you refering to IDC's?

It was a shame we didn't get to finish the map off as it is not even a complete map at 1.2bar.. just a very safe one. More timing to add and it is a bit rich during spool but as the time was running out (or rather had run out) for when you had to leave I did as much as I could and was not willing to guess anything.
Hopefully you will have sorted the air supply to the intercooler and waterspray by the time I get to finish the map off.
Very impressed with the car overal, and rather fancy an RA myself now..

Hi Simon,
I don't know what idc's are!
All I meant was I have a standard WRX RA and my cars graph for the fuel is almost identical to Kev's apart from mine over fuels at low revs, the guys operating the dyno said it was too lean at the top end.
I'll post a copy of my graph later.

clinic didn't have any concerns on the fueling Chris, but as JGM said, the maps isn't 100% yet so there's a bit more fine tuning to be done with the map

had a weekend off
i know Graham most of all wants to see the pics

got under 2 weeks to sort my scoop out (still don't know the best route still) plus the water spray, bleed the brakes and make sure they work (pedal feel a bit too solid, like there's no pedal travel) then change the engine & gearbox oil, easy peasy

back on topic, boooooooo!
brakes all bleed (did the rears while i was at it so got new fluid in all the system) pedal feel is much better now, no idea what pads are in but they're awesome with a bit of heat in them, having had a good play tonite i'm really starting to notice the difference with the unsprung weight up front, steering feels so much lighter and more precise
boost gauge is doing weird stuff, saw 1.85 bar on it tonite
yet the apexi says 1.3-1.4 bar
not sure if it has anything to do with the feed off the manifold, i took the y-piece off when i fitted the manifold back on and managed to muddle up the hoses from the boost guage and the apexi avc-r, i remember having a restrictor and not knowing which one went where so guessed with the avc-r needing it, maybe i was wrong

Kev, what MAP sensor are you running? When mapping my 93-96 Apexi PFC using a MY97/8 MAP sensor it got confused and underread. Massively. At 1.4 bar on the boost gauge (had to use Dawes to get that high) the PFC thinks its 0.95 bar
Ooops just read you've got the acv-r, should be OK then
Graham, if you know Miss 20, then can I have her other number, should start 07....

well, im just about done with the scoop, hopefully by tonite i should have something to post, it's not a seemless blend down the sides of the scoop, i *could* spend hours making it right but i can't be bothered lol
i've made the opening 55mm, up from, i think 35mm, i've left the vertical diverter thingy at the back of the scoop so i don't need a splitter
on the undertray side of things im just going to try and stop the air escaping down the sides and at the back of the IC

DIY big scoop step by step guide

cut from the opening to the back

open to desired amount (55mm in my case)

create new centre support

plate either side (note cut off self tapping screws)
bit of filler, primer, paint and lacquer later and...

looks good from a distance, not exactly perfect close up but not bad for free
