I think I know you too well Kev.. lol
You were only suppose to up it 8% IF it didn;t make full boost on the RR.. and return it to 58% afterwards.. lol

I know there was a difference between your boost gauge and the ecu and the AVCR..
I'll try and remember to bring my boost gauge for another reference.. and check the pipework.
It could be the dreaded samco silicon boost hose which I think you are using.. it tends to baloon at high boost.

You git
That looks really good for a diy effort and makes mine look a bit naff
I need to repair mine after the mishap but it doesn't quite fit the opening like the original. I did modify my original scoop and raised it by 10mm without cutting. It made bu66er all difference as far as I could tell anyway. Your scoop should work well though.
Bob Rawl was interested in seeing my temps change with the STI8 TMIC and STI7 scoop. After sitting for a while they rose to 40-43C but once on the move they dropped rapidly 10C within a few hundred yards and then back to 20Cish ambient wthin a mile or so. I was very surprised to see how effecting the set up was and it was much much better than the original system even with all my shielding and other tweeks. I didn't even consider using waterspray as it was so good. I was considering making another TMIC hot side shield but it hardly seems worth it or the splitter!
The true test will be flat out on track in the height of summer though...

new car turned up yesterday, it's German, full leather, turbo charged, 6 speed paddle shift sequential gearbox, rear wheel drive

what were you thinking it was?
front end doesn't look quite so good at the moment though

Well haven't we been busy
Anyone else and this project would have taken a few months, but cos it's you it's taken well over a year
Nice one fella, seeya at NBO camping and I still reckon i'll whoop your *** in the twisties
Gonna take more than a fancy number plate and dodgy wheels to beat me

started work on the underscoop thingy last night, made the template up in cardboard, just need to work out how to stop the air escaping down the sides etc.
Flat!
The hill climbs are weekend meets.
Sat is practice and full of 'joviality' (BS), Sunday is racing so focused...
Sunday is 'May the Best Man (and car) win.'
Wish i could pop up and observe and learn some tricks...
Good luck all,
Graham.

clutch goes on saturday afternoon, typical!
um and ar about chancing it at shootout and decide i'll change it saturday night, finish at 2am, get up at 6am to finish a few things off, drive around the block, everything feels good, drive off to shootout and get about 5 miles from home and the engine dies
knew something would go wrong, knew it
reckon the FSE has given up the ghost, so it's up at Scoobyclinic waiting for to be looked at (can't do much here without trying a new reg on it, which i haven't got) total cost this weekend, probably 400 odd quid
there will be better weekends to come

Sorry to see/hear this Flat.
I did actually drive past you parked-up on the A38, but you already had a Type R assisting you.
Not to rub it in, but is was a very good event (my first Scooby event) and I hope to formaly enter it next year.
Good luck with it all, I can really understand the effort you put in last night!
Graham.
