Mark,

Measured immediatly before turbo, in the up pipe, should have a piccy on this thread somewhere.

Yes I realise it's a stupidly high figure and lucky I've not melted the thing down already, I have been hooning around in it the last two nights, glad to get back in it after being off the road for nearly 7 months, But it MUST stop until I can get all the issues addressed.
One would assume it's just ECU related ?
Also would like to thank you for your help and advise over the clutch issue, which one would assume, may have been all my fault in the first place...

Steve,
Erm well what can I say except that I was concentrating on what was ahead of me, it's a little more nerve racking when the needle passes the 160mph mark. On a local private drag strip of course!

edit : spelliung

Andy
Confining the thing to the garage.

NO
Just (literally) got in from visiting Larscott engineering to see if they've got round to "looking at" the intercooler yet!

nope "mabe next week" they said.

No matter, It gives me chance to save up for the insurance renewal on the 18th of this month

Lost interest in it to be honest,
Don't get me wrong, It will be finished, I just want to drive the fcking thing......

I'll be sure to update this thread when something happens, TRUST ME.

Hmm few technical hitches with the workshop at the moment.

Time to get back to my roots in a single garage I think.

Andy.

Had to move the car down to the garage for obvious reasons,
Hey it starts, so I may as well drive it down.

Some probs with the steering though
If I lock it round quickly it judders through the steering wheel.
Does that sound like the pump scavenging for oil??
Just wondering if I'm going to have to increase the bore size of the transfer pipe from the reservoir to the pump. ?
thoughts ?

Amazing what you can get done by means of "threats of physical harm".

Two intercooler caps, now sat on my workbench in the garage.
welder is still in the boot of the car and I have repossessed my digi cam so things are looking up.

well I finally got the turbo connected to the throttle body via the intercooler today.
No bumper, no headlight, no air filter and no insurance it had to be done

hmmm nothing til 4000rpm then lots of whoosh quickly followed by some sideways manovering.... until it hit 1.7 BAR then it fuel cut with rather a large pop and some flames

now cooling off back in the garage

Time to get it set up by Bob I think.

welded and fitted intercooler.

Lower pipe might need some adjustment to it's degree, looks too low. (will have to *ease* the towing eye out the way.)

Time for some hacking of the bumper.

first cut

Do we want to keep the numberplate mount.....

ooops too late

First test fit of bumper and it's looking not too shabby..
needs a bit more off but not much, not sure what tool to use now for the fine adjustments, Have been hacking it off with a bare hacksaw blade thus far!

OI..

Dont buy one.. what sort of engineer are you if you cant make one.. think of the delays.. and the money saved will pay towards petrol for mapping.
